Stetson still smiling just for me despite the pain
    Bobbie N.

Blue Cross requested VVC come and do a heart EKG and ultrasound on 4/1/24 for Stetson, my service k9. Somehow they missed 5 yes five tumors directly around his heart and misdiagnosed him with stage 1 heart disease. I had been reporting a cough for 2&1/2 yrs and Blue Cross refused to do chest xrays because I would wait. He was my full time legal service k9. The girls from VVC were very pleasant but refused any info and obviously missed 5 tumors on his heart. On 11/2 he coughed up blood and 11/4 both VVC and Blue Cross had nothing available. Emergency did and a simple chest xray revealed what they both failed to diagnose. Stetson died on 12/23/24. There's no forgiveness or kind words for negligence and Dr James at Blue Cross decided to wait 5 days to relay report info to me. Today is Stetson's 11th birthday. I blame VVC and Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital 1000%. Do not trust them. I never should have.

Not long after checking them out my pup told me it was time and we went immediately to them on a Friday morning when they opened. They had the perfect room for him. It was the corner one with the big window. My pup loved being outside and it was the perfect spot for him, he stared outside the window into nature. They gave us a whole cart of treats to give to him and the doctor and staff was so kind and compassionate. The staff from the very first time we walked in to the time I was called to pick his ashes up was absolutely amazing. It was the only time they truly saw him and it felt like they had cared for him so many times before. I couldn't of ask for a better place and staff to have my dog cared for. They were so kind to us and even complimented on how good he was but that was his demeanor, he was always kind and sweet. Thank you Scottsdale animal Hospital! You made a tough experience easy and smooth and made us feel welcomed.

The vet came in next we discussed the options, he has arthritis and allergies. She let us know of an injection for arthritis we never knew existed. She really loves animals and out dog, who is a ham. We asked going forward if we could get a room immediately and they said yes and asked if we wanted one with an exit door, so our dogs do not have to go through the waiting room. We said yes. Again never asked that by any vet. You can pay right in the room, another win. We have another dog who needs to be looked at. I can tell you as someone who just moved here, we will use them 100% for all our dogs and their needs! Added bonus we are able to schedule with the same vet going forward, which is great because they get to know your pet and their personality.

We had a virtual urgent care call and they were concerned enough that we brought him into The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic to check in on him. After an ultrasound, they found that he had a mass on his spleen and was internally bleeding, and had to go into immediate overnight emergency surgery. The surgery was successful, and after a 36 hour hospital stay, Barkley is back home and on the mend. While this was such a scary experience and few days, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic and their team. They are open 24/7/365, and provided around the clock care. Because of the length of his stay, we worked with and spoke to multiple of their veterinarians and assistants (thank you to Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Fleming, Dr. Goldberg, and Dr. Blackmon), and everyone was so kind, attentive, and caring through every step of the process, gave us calls throughout the night with updates and over the past few days to check in on Barkley's progress, and were so compassionate in all of the care they provided. Barkley was in such great hands. Thank you to the The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic team!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this veterinary office. If I could give them 1000000…read morestars I would!!!!!!!!! First, the front office staff is absolutely phenomenal. Every time I call, they're kind, welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. They always get me scheduled quickly, answer all of my questions, and make me feel like they genuinely care. I've been bringing my pets here for years. A couple of years ago, I lost my soul dog, and I will forever be grateful for the love and compassion this entire team showed him throughout his life. From the technicians to the veterinarians, everyone treated him like he was their own. and a special shout out to Skyler who was my vet tech at the time, she was INCREDIBLE and has a piece of my heart forever for the way she loved my boy in his final moments. But They were all by our side through his diabetes treatments, and their kindness during that difficult time is something I'll never forget. More recently, I met Dr. John Soltero when I brought in my one-year-old deaf puppy Romeo for his annual exam.Romeo has had neurological issues, and we've been working with a neurologist in Phoenix. As many pet owners know, specialty care can be incredibly expensive. We reached a point where the only next step was an MRI that would cost around $6,000, which just isn't possible for me right now. Dr. Soltero took the time to listen to our entire story. Instead of only focusing on traditional treatment options, he suggested adding a natural acupuncture-based herbal supplement alongside Western medicine. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first--but I figured it was worth trying. After Romeo had been taking the supplement for a couple of months, I realized he hadn't had any seizures. I wasn't sure if it was just a coincidence until I was house-sitting and accidentally forgot to bring his pills. Within a couple of days, his seizures returned like clockwork. As soon as I got home and gave him his supplement again, the seizures stopped shortly afterward, and he was back to acting like himself. The same thing happened again another morning when I had missed his dose. Giving him the supplement consistently has made an incredible difference for shorting and cutting down his episodes. something I didn't think was possible (or so I had been told by the neurologist) I know every dog is different, and I can't say it will work for everyone, but I can honestly say it has been life-changing for my boy. I'm so thankful that Dr. Soltero was willing to think outside the box and recommend something I never would have considered on my own. If you're looking for a veterinary team that truly cares, listens, and treats both you and your pets like family, I wholeheartedly recommend this office. I will always be grateful for everything they've done for my dogs. Thank you all for all you do! ~ Britni & LouisGucciRomeo

I feel like I won the actual veterinary lottery…read more My cat, Baby, is 23 years old. Yes, twenty-three. She has earned every wrinkle, whisker, and ounce of attitude she possesses. She's been doing this odd mouth movement after eating, and while my previous vet wasn't overly concerned, my gut told me to dig deeper. Enter Dr. Sanders at Scottsdale Cat Clinic, and suddenly the universe felt balanced again. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made us feel calm, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. The clinic itself feels like it was designed by someone who truly understands cats, not just medically, but emotionally. Quiet. Peaceful. Respectful of feline dignity. And then there's Dr. Sanders. I have never, in 23 years of caring for Baby, seen a veterinarian be so thorough, patient, gentle, and intuitive. She didn't rush. She didn't dismiss anything. She examined Baby with the kind of care you'd expect if she were handling something priceless, which frankly, she was. What absolutely floored me was Baby's reaction. Baby, who has opinions. Baby, who does not simply "allow" handling. Baby calmly let Dr. Sanders examine her mouth, her body, everything. I stood there in disbelief. It was like watching a cat whisperer at work. The nurses and staff deserve their own standing ovation. Every single person was kind, attentive, and clearly invested in making both pets and humans feel safe and heard. No one treated Baby like "just an old cat." They treated her like the cherished family member she is. I left feeling informed, reassured, and deeply grateful. If you love your cat. And I mean really love your cat. This is where you go. No question. No hesitation. Dr. Sanders and the entire Scottsdale Cat Clinic team have earned my trust, my loyalty, and this glowing review. Baby and I are so thankful we found you.
