After an entire year, there is still no death date on her name plate and the memorial bench is STILL not placed. Unfortunately, the staff at Heritage Hills has prolonged the grief process for my entire family. Their lack of communication, unkept promises, and excuses have continued even with a change of staff. My family has been more than patient with the staff and all we have expected is for contracts to be upheld in a timely manner. I would absolutely NOT recommend Heritage Hill to anyone that is looking for a smooth experience during a stressful time of losing a loved one. Update 11/2/22 I have emailed the business at the customer service email below and they have yet to respond to that email. I am unable to respond to the generic reply below.

We met with Melanie who was compassionate, caring, and explained everything thoroughly. We felt as though we were a part of her family. Dad's service was very nice, and the funeral home is spacious and beautiful. We were able to bring in donuts for the visitation, and coffee and water were provided. Even after the service, the funeral home went above and beyond. A woman posted horrible words and death wishes to my mother (who also nearly lost her life in the house fire). We contacted the funeral home who promptly removed the terrible comments. Unfortunately, the woman and her mother continue to harass this wonderful business, posting negative reviews and demanding that they post their disgusting comments on my father's memorial wall. We never imagined that we'd have to deal with such tasteless behavior, and we're mortified that Melanie and Sara have to deal with this. Overall, this is a very caring and compassionate company that genuinely cares about the family and their loved one's final wishes.

Drake, founder and namesake of the RL Drake company, who made some of the finest amateur radio gear ever. This was part of a trek to find his final resting place, was well as the Drake factory - the building still stands at 540 Richard Avenue, MIamisburgh, OH. This is a very peaceful and contemplative location in the town of West Carrollton, OH (outside of Dayton) - away from traffic noise, and is very well maintained. It does appear it's "still open" - in that there are fairly recent interments in evidence. One of the photos I've attached shows a rough map of the cemetery, with the red square denoting the general area of the Robert L. Drake grave, should anyone find this who is also wishing to visit Mr. Drake's final resting place. Again, very odd to give a "Woohoo!" vote for a cemetery - but this is for my fellow amateur historians researching folks from the past. Dave

Fast forward four years, I filled out online forms for more information or phone call for Newcomer and another well known national funeral and cremation business. Julie M. called me on a Sunday and we made an appointment to meet on the following Friday at Newcomer- Centerville. Julie is so nice and down to earth and gave all important information needed for my own cremation. My real relief came when Julie told me about payment plans. I didn't know there are so many choices for cremations. My meeting with Julie was far beyond my expectations. I purchased a plan. When I left I felt such a sense of freedom. I like having a voice in my last 'adventure' on earth. Thank you Julie for such a good experience.

I quickly realized, after meeting the owners and staff here, they care about meeting my family's needs. They care about keeping expenses reasonable and fair.
