Avoid this place like the plague. Especially if you're storing your stuff while out of country. Knowing that I would be out of country I asked before renting if it would be an issue should my billing need to be changed while gone. I was assured that it would not be. Well, my credit card was recently defrauded. It took me a week and a half to remember that that probably obstructed my monthly payment... and when i called I was told that there was a $20 late fee (fine, no biggie, my payment is late and i should have been more aware of it) and that in 4 days I'd accrue another $20 late charge. No problem, I have a new credit card number, just charge that. "We can't do that, you'll have to come in in person." What part of "out of the country" did you not understand? No help in figuring out a way to pay other than sending post dated cheques. And no offer to waive the second late fee even though it will take much longer than 4 days for a cheque to clear customs. The clerk was not helpful, and rude. If I were in town, I'd move my stuff out post haste. Horrible customer service and billing practices. The best I can hope for is to dissuade others from falling into the trap. read more

I can't say enough good things about Valleyview Mini Storage. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful! It's always a joy to see them! Valleyview Mini Storage offers secure, temperature controlled storage in various sizes. The first thing I noticed is how amazingly clean and well maintained the building is. You could eat off the floors! There are lots of cameras and they have convenient hours. They also sell packing and moving supplies, offer shipping services and have mailboxes you can rent. read more

They charged me for an extra month when I came in to close my unit 9 days before it expired. They rudely told me I should read my contract and that I needed to come in ten days before the end and sign a piece of paper saying I was ending the contract. I thought it was obvious. I was One day late. No breaks here. The main issue however was that they were able to charge my credit card without my signature. Also When I signed their paper to end the contract and paid for the extra month, they would not return my credit card slip. They said they needed it in case of litigation. Made no sense and despite my concerns they would not return it. I will have to cancel the card cuz I don't trust them at all. Seemed very sleezy to me. read more

The Valleyview Mini Storage facilities are very clean and well maintained, however I was very dissapointed in the service offered by the staff. The hours of operation are highly inconvenient for people with daytime employment - closing at 7pm and only offering bay door/carts during office hours (until 5pm). When I decided to move out my items, I called 3 weeks ahead of time (10day notice policy) to give them notice of my move. They thanked me and said I also needed to come in to sign a piece of paper. WHAT THEY FAILED TO TELL ME was that I needed to sign the paper 10 days before moving out and that the phone call notice was not sufficient. When I finally was able to leave work early to sign the page (6 days before moving), I was told that I would subsequently have to pay the ENTIRE next month. I was so dissapointed in their lack of consideration that I will not be returning. read more

Do not use this place. Staff are very rude. I went with my friend who is 18 (I am 23) to make sure everything was in order with her storage unit. She lives out of town and had called two different employees to see when the last day she could pick up her things was, she was told Sunday by 430. However when she arrived she was told it was actually Saturday at 430 not Sunday and it was on the lease. So instead of apologizing for the confusion between incorrect information and staff and maybe charging her just for the extra day, they charged her for an entire month. Obviously she should have read the lease more clearly but the ladies today were extremely rude when I tried to tell them there employees should know the correct information. They rudely told me it was not my storage locker and to pretty much butt out. Then I suggested to my friend we write a bad review (about the horrible service both when she called and today) they rudely said "I can't write a bad review it's in the lease". Very rude. Measurement were also off in the units. This place is not friendly. Do not give them your money they don't deserve it. read more

This company is one to avoid, they will bill you for every little thing. Don't expect any breaks! They will bill you for another month as soon as they get an opportunity. Any decent business would consider your long standing relationship and give you a break, not these greedy people....even the staff member told the person emptying our storage unit that they would bill us for another month, they were too happy to show how inconsiderate they are. Take your storage needs elsewhere and patronize a business that deserves your business. Plus the storage times of 7am to 7pm is a joke. Offer 24-7 access or close down. Get with the times! read more

A total ripoff. They do not give referral money as promised on the webpage for two people and charge late fees even though the unit was empty and the fob was returned 3 days late I was charged for a whole month. We have been dealing with them for 10+ years and they were excellent. However, with the new ownership they are obviously complete money hungry pigs. I will never deal with them again, not will I suggest anyone else to use them. read more
