Do not do business with Value Tire in Hollywood, Florida, especially if employee Pokey is involved. They worked on my vehicle and messed it up. What should have been a simple service turned into a bigger problem due to careless and unprofessional work. When I raised concerns, Pokey was dismissive and took no responsibility for the damage caused. Communication was poor, and there was no effort to correct the mistake or stand behind their work. This place is a nightmare. I would recommend steering totally clear of it. What started out as a nail in the tire turned into a tire rotation, and then the axles needed to be replaced, and then the battery was dead, and then the door handle was now broken and when we pick the car up $700 later, nothing was fixed. I would give them zero stars, but apparently you're not able to do that. All they had to do is mount and balance 4 new tires. They did that. Then they used the biggest impact wrench in existence to over tighten and ruin all of my lug nuts. I asked the manager what torque spec they used, and he held up that jackhammer of a impact wrench and said, 'I have my guys use this baby till it stops then I tell them to, "go a little more". So, with that being the torque spec he uses, I took my car to another tire center where getting the lug nuts off became and ordeal. The were all misshaped by the over torquing and they needed a long breaker bar to remove them. All lug nuts were destroyed. I was lucky the lug bolts were not stretched or damaged. My neighbor recommended this shop to me, now she'll have to go to a reputable shop and see if all of her lug nuts are damaged and hers is a brand new 2025 truck. The sheisty tire shops all blame any lug nut issues on "YOUR LUG NUTS ARE SWOLLEN" but that could not have been my case, a week before I took my car here, I did a break job on my car and the proper socket fit each nut perfectly, not so much after he used his special torque monster on them. If you take your car here, just plan on being stranded if you get a flat or go to another shop and ask them to remove and then properly torque the nuts back on. read more

Value Tire & Alignment - one new lug nut and 20 damaged ones SMH - Tires Near Me - Hollywood, Florida

Literally so bad I made an account here for this. I went in to find out why my car was wobbling, and they correctly fixed my axels. But then apparently had been so rough with my car door that the car door handle broke off. The owner, Pokey, tried to tell to explain it away that it was falling apart when they got it and then tells me he'll order the new part and charge me for the labor. I refuse to pay for the labor because I did not break it, only then does he decide to wave the labor cost. I arrive the next day to find out that he had added freon to the car without telling me how much, adding another $150 to the order. After I repeatedly refuse, he says he'll remove the freon. As they're taking the car out, they pull out a jump start because apparently the battery died too? Mind you the battery is barely a year old and brand new. When asked how both of these things happened under his care, he replies with "The battery can go out for any reason." At that point, I just wanted to leave. Clearly they look for any reason to charge, even if they have to make one. When discussing the price when I first brought it in, he mentioned getting a discount with cash payment, and that did not happen either. As I'm taking the car out, I find that the wheel locks up when it didn't before. So to recap, I brought my car in for axels and they fixed that. While also breaking my door handle, my battery, and whatever the hell they did to my steering. This whole experience was exhausting and no one should have to put up with it. read more

Beware they damage vehicles. They refuse to fix my vehicle after they damaged it. I now have to sue them and will get triple what it would have cost just to fix it. Lisa is extremely rude and tried to intimidatew me. Chris passes the phone to someone else. The manager Poki refuses to rectify the issue. I called to rectify the problem and Poki pretends he isn't the manager and hung up on me. I will continue to place reviews and take every step necessary until they reimburse me for the damages. Hopefully they loses many customers and money for their mistakes. They shouldn't be able to get away with damaging vehicles and taking no accountability. I also have reported them to BBB and the State that regulates businesses to assist me. read more

Hands down the best price for tires. I had 4 new tires put on and saved hundreds of dollars. There were a couple of problems... I did not appreciate being told that they have my tires when I called for an appointment, just to find that once we got there, that's when they "order them". So, no they did not have the tires there. Secondly, I also had an appointment for an alignment. Their "Alignment " guy was not there. The other mechanics would not do it. So after waiting over half hour, I asked the owner why the alignment is not being done, and he said he called him and he will be in but who knows at what time? I left without the alignment. Two days later I got the call that the tire was in.I asked how busy they were and was told they were not busy and could do the mounting right away. If you have any decent wheels, DO NOT GO HERE, they will SCRATCH them. If you want a cheap price and don't care if they scratch your wheels go here. They are fast, have a good selection, and have good prices. The owner guaranteed he worked on thousand dollar wheels and had the equipment not to scratch them, this was a lie. I took 4 brand new wheels in boxes, their guys not only scratched the rim of each wheel but also chipped the face of one and then refused to repair or replace any. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I'll be trying the Division of Consumer Services next. read more

Last year I came to this place to replace my 4 tires and do an alignment. They gave me a receipt and after I left I notice it didn't include the alignment, so I went back and said they did it but forgot to charge me. So I paid $65 more. Neither receipt showed the milage of the car. Nor do they keep records. I recently went to my regular repair guy and he said my tires were shot. Turns out the way they wore out shows they hadn't been aligned . I only put about 13000 miles on them and I live in West Palm. I called Value Tire but they told me to call Continental. Continental said that was strange,the Tire company handles this kind of thing. Just a run around. It is unfortunate that this company does not back their products. I would warn any women especially, if you need tires go to someone else. I went to Northlake Auto and got the BEST service. They put 4 new tires on and aligned my car. Their specialist said when he was doing the alignment that it was so far out that it had not had an alignment for a long time. RIP OFF !!!!! let me start by saying if you do business with this idiot you walk away feeling ripped off .I had my brakes done here . i went back twice each time my brakes were squealing . i took it back 3 times . each time i lost 250 $ a day in wages. so i took my truck to the gmc dealership . they told me he did not use the correct parts. so i got screwed out of 800$ for the original brake job . with his bullshit lifetime warranty . what good is a warranty if you never get it fixed properly . also because of shitty workmanship the brake fluid leaked all over my chrome rims which are uncleanable. so if you add up all the money involved in his shitty fucking work and products i paid roughly 5000$ to this asshole . Excellent service and better prices - what more could you want. I shopped around for Michelin tires for my wife's SUV. My wife called the owner (Vinnie) with a bunch of questions, and he was patient and polite with her. The tires were replaced within 20 minutes and the alignment was done within the next 20 minutes or so. Overall, all the guys that worked there were really nice, and the total bill was substantially less than what I would have paid at Sears or someplace else. I actually had the tires on my own car replaced at Sears before I knew of this place, and a co-worker told me about this place. I called them and sure enough, I paid about $200 too much at Sears. If I could rate them lower I would. I got my tires replaced about 6-7 months ago, and I've noticed that they were already wearing down. I emailed Vinnie and he told me to come in no problem. So I came in and oh turns out he wasn't there. Ok whatever, it's lunch, I get it, I'll wait. About 20 minutes later he comes back, and when I ask him about them he got mad at me. Said that my tires were from neglect not from the actual tires. Argued with me about them, even when I was trying to just defend myself. I'm a delivery driver, I have to maintain my vehicle, the tires aren't terrible because I'm not "checking them". He refused to stand by his work. Now, I went to some other guys I trust and they said that it wasn't even the right tires for me! Nor were they aligned properly! Needless to say, I will never go back there again. read more

Pokey is the rudest person ever I have to deal with in my whole life. My engine fan needs to be replaced. The Mechanic charged me $50.00 for diagnostic. He said he will order the parts. Overall assessment cost close to $700.00. Pokey asked for $200.00 deposit. I was in the shop that day, he told me parts will be here Monday, bring the car on Tuesday. I took a day off from work, driving from Jacksonville to Hollywood, decided to call. He said the parts are not there, it was never ordered. Lied to me on the phone, very rude. I asked for refund of my deposit, he won't give me a refund for the service that was not done. Tried to rip me off, I said I will sue him for not giving my deposit back and the cost of my attorney. I also had my tire fix there, the tire did not last on the road. What a rip off. never again, not recommended. Honda dealer charged me only $489. Honda dealer said it will cost me more to have it repaired from Value Tire as they will never put the accurate parts. Beware! Don't get fooled for deposit! read more

Easy experience when purchasing the tires in June 2017 , they told me I had warranty, never offered road hazard. Fast forward to January 2018, caught a nail in the tire. They told me I needed to have a certain paper in my car that showed I had road hazard on the tires. It was never offered to me so I was never able to purchase it. I work in sales so it would've been simple as just letting me know that I could've purchased it but of course , business is better when you get $15 for fixing every tire that gets something stuck in it. On word-of-mouth from a wonderful high school automotive shop teacher in the '90s, I began purchasing tires for all my vehicles through the present date. Value tires is like no other automotive center that I've ever been to. Last Wednesday when I drove in, I was greeted by a tire changer and my four brand new Mitchelin tires were pulled and ready to be installed on my Lexus. While my car was being worked on, all the mechanics were friendly and said "hello". Less than 30 minutes later the new tires were on the vehicle and the car was pulled onto the alignment rack. The alignment man was friendly and knowledgeable and his alignment rack appeared to be the latest in technology. He showed me the settings that were off and put the car back in alignment. I paid the bill and it seem like I was out of there in an hour and a half for all that work. Vinny, the owner has seen all of my cars and motorhome for tires and miscellaneous repairs through the years. He and his crew are the "real deal". Get the tire recommendation from Vinnie, then research to find he was spot on at the best price. Prices come with valves, balance, installation and tax. Not a fancy neighborhood, but hey it's a discount tire store. Don't be turned off by pot holes or chickens in the street. Always call first to get fit in, but expect to wait a bit.
