No communication with employees. They ended up checking my engine bay filter and it was brand new and ended up putting oil on it smh. Not happy with this place. To my surprise it is now $165 for an oil change with full synthetic for my gmc 1500. I wanted to have them put my oil back in and get out of there, right. My bad. I went for a quick oil change before making trip to pismo beach. I've been coming to this location for a few years and at this point I anticipate my check engine light coming on after a visit. This time, to no surprise, after I made it about an hour down the road, the engine light came on with Auto LSD light blinking. I pulled over to a mechanic in the middle of nowhere who took a quick peek under my hood and noticed that a hose was disconnected from the engine. There were three people minimum that worked on my car when getting the oil change at valvoline and I was made aware by the mechanic some auto shops intentionally leave things disconnected to ensure you return to them for further service. Everytime I go to this location they are trying to upsell me, and it took a huge portion of my day/trip to make a stop to have my car assessed after valvolines error. Again, this is not the first time it's happened with this specific location and whether it was intentional or not, a blatant error such as an unplugged hose on top of the engine should have been caught by trained professionals, especially if there's three of them. Will not return to this branch or business and do not recommend. read more

I will never go there again. They spilt oil all over my valve cover and manifold so I looked under the truck there was as much oil there as on top of the engine. I went back and they wanted to wipe it off but I wouldn't let people who do work like that ever touch my truck again. All of my tire valve air stem caps were going to eventually fall off and mine stainless steel They were on maybe one or two turns. Who taught them how to shut your hood? Low rating for today and past exchange: Took our Honda here 2 years ago, for an oil change--they didn't screw on a plate cover right and it came off and got damaged on the freeway. Two years later today (few days ago) brought the Toyota for an oil change and they didn't screw on the transmission cover correctly and transmission oil was leaking profusely when we got home. The engine sounded horrible today until we had the chance to finally bring it in. Manager made it right and didn't charge us. But their team rushes and shouldn't have messed up in the first place. Like you literally fix cars, if you're not good at it why do it? So calculating the amount of times I've gone and how many times they done bonked up: there is a 1 out of 5 chance they'll mess up your car. I don't know about you, but my car(s) isn't worth those odds. read more

I bring it back and lo and behold a sensor had broke right next to where they had changed the oil filter but they swear it was a coincidence and offered nothing to make things right. Have been using this as my oil change place, but not anymore. The staff like to talk to each other and not work, and so much about 15 minute. They perform service to another car that came in after me and I just had to wait. I always furnish my own oil and I knew I needed to have 6 quarts and I told them put in five when I get home I would add the other Qt. But refused to service unless I bought another Quart of oil from them and they don't carry Mobile one. So need to find another service center and I been a loyal customer for some 15 to 20 years. Well good luck in the future I know I will find better service somewhere else. And guess what I did and they understood what I needed and it was in and out with no question asked and cost no more than your supposed service. read more

Waited in line for an extended period of time (15 minutes per car is not accurate) only to find out they didn't have the right filter. They suggested I go buy one and then return. When I asked if I would lose my place- guess what- YES. So I would need to wait again? No thanks, never again. read more

A few days later when I on the freeway the covers for my cars undercarriage weren't installed back correctly and were dragging until got home to fix it. It would've been cheaper and done correctly if I went to the dealer. Will not be bringing my business back here. read more

I've been using these guys ever since they opened, from my personal autos to my work fleet. Never have we had a bad experience, the owners are great folks and have locations in Los Banos, Fresno, and Visalia as well. You can bring in your special oil and filters or use there's, personally we've used there's and never have had an issue. Last trip I needed to replace a battery in my wife's car and didn't want to take it to the dealer so I asked the manager if he would do if for me and he did, a great job might I mention. I find this style of getting my oil changed is the easiest for me- I just drive up, a employee guides me into a stall which there is three of and I stay seated in my car as they give me great customer service while changing the oil. The employees here will check your battery, wipers, tire pressure, air filter, fluids and light signals. They will let you know if you have any recommended services as well. I have never had to wait long here. I am usually in and out within twenty minutes. You can sign up for emails and receive coupons for a future $5/$10 discount. There is other services they provide here like a radiator flush, transmission flush etc., for an additional cost. I would recommend this place and it is the only place in Madera that I know of where you can stay in your car while your oil change is being done. If your hungry while the work is being done there is food within walking distance. read more

This business installed the wrong size oil filter into my vehicle. I spoke to Brannon who then told me that I was incorrect and the filter size was correct. I drive an older charger with a 3.5 engine. I bought a Mopar brand filter and you can clearly see the difference in size of filter used by them and what SHOULD have been used. I tried to explain this to him and he told me that the VO 95 filter they used switched to VO 25 2 years ago and according to their site , it was correct. I am the original owner to my vehicle and this was the first time it was serviced outside of our home and we NEVER used anything that s mall. My car has been leaking oil ever since and it makes sense that if the the filter is too small to handle the amount of oil filtered through it, it will leak. I just came back from a dodge dealership and showed them the oil filter that is in the picture and they agreed they would have NEVER used something this small on a vehicle like mine. I am almost positive had I been a man complaining and not a woman, this would have been resolved. I felt Brannon basically blew me off because I was a woman talking about car related things and assumed I knew nothing. Please save your money and go elsewhere. I don't know if driving around for 4 months with this filter has damaged my engine but I just wanted to let anyone know, especially women. Take care. read more

I had to drop 1 star for the fact of a Waite which is natural here.... but the fact that they were out of the conventional oil that I use .... the gentleman was very helpful and gave me a discount which once again like I said they are willing to help. But I reminded the guy please for the next time... instead of having us wait. Let the customers know we are out of that oil. You can wait or come back another time or promote a better quality oil. I was told it would be a 2 hour wait across the street. I have a leased vehicle and I looked at other providers on my list of approved vendors and I noticed Valvoline was one of those vendors. I went across the street and to my surprise I was out in about 10 minutes. They use the same operating platform as Indy Racing. Had no idea this existed. I rolled in, the lady asked me a couple of questions, added a little bit of small talk and she said you're good to go. I had no idea the guy had already drained my oil and refilled it as she spoke. They also found out that my inside cabin filter was approved to be replaced by the leasing company. Went for an oil change, guys were nice who worked on my car but then said your oil filter was cleaned (isn't it supposed to be changed?!?) it may be a bit messy but it will be good. Well oil all over garage and car knocking when I go to start it... no I repeat no oil in car. Filled oil and took to my Napa mechanic and he said oil filter not put in right or cap. This is ridiculous, but I call the store they tell me to call Visalia office at 559-624-1240 19 minutes to talk to Ursula and open a claim to request my money back. She tells me I have to now wait for call back from Madera manager, why the rat race of call somewhere else just to now wait for the madera managements call. Still no apology yet! Pretty sorry service...Do not go to this place if you value your car or time because they will ruin it. read more
