Will never go to another valvoline again after. First we get there and they don't have my oil filter and said I'd have to go to O'Reillys to get one. Got that came back and then after a few minutes under the car comes back and says the plug is stripped. Was told that they tightened it the best they could and to call customer service number so they could fix it. We do that and the customer rep is horrible and kept trying to get me to call the valvoline that did it last. He said he was escalating the case to urgent and that someone would call me to get it fixed so we could drive it home as we're traveling and 400 miles from home. No one from valvoline ever called me again. About an hour later we go to get something to eat, came back out after 30 mins and there's a dinner plate sized puddle of oil under the car. So I knew we couldn't drive it back home Found a mechanic on our own who got us in and all they had to do was insert a new drain plug and it tightened up fine. Horrible experience and like I said , will never go to another valvoline ever again. read more

THEY RAN OUT OF OIL FOR MY SERVICE!! Do not come here if you are looking for a quick and quality oil change or additional services. I was the only one there and I showed up 45 minutes before they closed and they were refusing to rotate my tires. I should have known then to drive away but after a few minutes they came back and said okay so I proceeded with the service. Halfway through the oil change they ran out of my oil! First they offered to fill the rest with synthetic blend and I told them I want the same oil which was full synthetic so eventually they ended up going down the road and buying the oil to finish filling my car up. After all this hassle and trouble every step of the way they should have refunded me the whole amount. Definitely more trouble time and money than what it was worth! read more

Tundra and 4Runners have a skid plate to remove before oil filter can be changed. Asked tech if they changed it they said yes. But they did not. Took to dealership next day. They verified they did not change filter after all. If you have a skid plate would suggest taking it somewhere else. The techs don't have time to do the extra work of pulling a skid plate they will just say they did it and send you on your way with $140 receipt to show you what they didn't do read more

We have used this place for years and have always gotten stellar service. Personable workers, easy process, hardly a wait, quick service once they start. And they don't do unnecessary things.. I've never noticed a difference in treatment when it's just me vs my husband and I. They don't offer anything that we don't need. As a matter of fact, today the man charging us after our service told us what would need attention in the near future so we're not caught off guard. I appreciate the heads up. Bad experience. They were suppose to change our oil & filter. They pulled out the opening to get to our filter and spent an hour just trying to put it back. The guy wasn't suppose to pull it all the way out but he did and we had to be stuck there in the heat waiting for hours. They get an extra star because the man did give us a voucher for a free oil change for all the trouble. The waiting room has 3 chairs, when 3 people in the room were sitting the other 3 there were standing. I finally told my family to stand up and let the others have a chance to sit. They had a old looking computer screen type thing with the picture going on and off the screen. Remote didn't work at all. No cups for their water or coffee. The waiting room is almost as hot as it was outside. This place says in every detail that they don't care about the customer. They only care about the profit they can make off of you. Bathrooms didn't have hand tissue to dry hands. The soap was so cheep that it didn't feel like real soap. read more

This is gonna be long but stick with as I am writing this to help save you money and avoid the mistakes I made. My wife had the misfortune of breaking down near this Valvoline location. She had 4 kids with her so getting it fixed fast was a priority. I went to pick her and the kids up and I spoke with Dale who was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful (the only highlight of this experience). He had spent an hour looking it over to this point and said an ungreased bearing locked up the alternator. He said they could fix it in a few hours and showed me a cost of 390 for the alternator, 30 for a serpentine belt and 135 for labor totaling 555. I took my wife and kids home and waited for them to call. About 3 hours later the service manager called and said it was ready. As I was heading out he called back and said "it's due for an oil change, do you want one?" I said "sure, whatever is your cheapest oil change, do that one". When I arrived, the first thing the manager says to me is "we replaced your engine air filter and your cabin air filter, is that ok?" What am I supposed to say? They had already done it without calling me first and I had my family with me to pick up the van. I'm not going to make them wait any longer than necessary so I said, yeah. Then he goes over the price with me. The alternator dropped from 390 to 293.68 because they couldn't get a new one and used a refurb instead. I could have bought a refurb alternator myself for 30 - 50 less than this but it wasn't unreasonable. They gotta make some profit. So I'm down 100 from what I was shown before! Great start! Oddly enough though, the belt (previously shown as 30) shot up to 140 dollars. This is a belt that can be bought for 20 dollars at any auto parts store or 37 dollars directly from Dodge. I'm willing to bet they didn't use a Dodge belt. Even if they did, that's a 100 dollar markup. They charged 40 dollars for the engine air filter they replaced without prior consult. Based on part number listed on the receipt, it's 15 dollars at most. Add another 25 to the markup. The cabin air filter based on part number is at most 15 dollars. They charged 45. Add another 30. The cheapest oil change I requested when told it needed changed? That was 42.99 plus 5.18 for extra oil. They listed 135 for labor. I show up expecting 585 but the bill is 673.41. This is after a 10% "discount" they tacked on to their insane markup to make it seem like a deal. To be even sneakier about it, they applied the entirety of the discount to labor. The listed price of labor went from 135 to a "discounted" price of 45. The "discount" was only 70.18 though so how did it drop 135 to 45? That's simple Valvoline math. Just add the difference (19.82) to the cost of parts and now it seems like the majority of the price was parts but they did all they could to discount their labor and help you out. Confused? That's why they do it. "You're telling me you spent all this time and effort on my car and you did it for just 45 dollars? What a swell group of guys!" Yeah right! When trying to clarify the costs, the manager (I believe his name was Boyce) literally said to me in joking tone and with a stupid smug smile on his face "it hurts my heart to do this and I know it hurts you to pay it but that's the price". To simplify all this: I could have bought the parts for 300, paid someone 135 to install them and gotten an oil change elsewhere for about 500 total. On the final bill they charged 586.64 for parts and 45.00 for labor totaling 673.41 after tax. They ripped me off 150+ dollars and blamed it on parts. I find it odd they continue this practice in an age where it's so easy research this stuff. Unfortunately for me, the van was broken and not moving. Towing it would've cost even more. They knew it and inflated the price. If you have a choice, go somewhere else. If it happened to me again, I'd have my car towed elsewhere and still come out ahead. You got me this time but only this time. Never again. I will never purchase a Valvoline product or service again and recommend you don't either. read more

Let me start off by saying this is my first oil change since moving to Oklahoma. I chose Valvoline Instant oil change based on its location and advertised speed. I visited on a weekday morning around 11 am. When I arrived, they signaled me to come straight in to the garage. They took my information and mileage, etc as normal. They showed me a list of services to choose from. I went with a conventional oil change which is advertised at $36.99. I had with me a coupon for $10 off from their website. I was able to stay in my car the whole time during the oil change. They basically just changed the oil, checked my tires, and checked fluids under my hood. They finished everything very quickly and offered 3 different big ticket fluid changing services.... and advised that all were about 26k miles overdue (mind you this was my first time in their shop and they have no history of my vehicle's maintenance... also I had my car thoroughly inspected by multiple professional entities before coming to Oklahoma and none advised that any of these were an issue). I rejected all services offered. They took my coupon and my total after coupon and taxes ended up being about $37. When I looked at the receipt I saw $8 worth of fees that I was told about before hand. Bottom line, they did their job but I don't think I will be coming back. I'm from Florida and I'm used to my oil change establishment vacuuming my car, and checking my air filters as an included service. I'm also used to paying $24 out the door. Side note: while sitting in my car, I saw other employees working on another car. I saw sparks and smoke coming out from under the hood while they were working and them temporarily panicking and then laughing about it. This is the worst oil change facility I have ever seen in my life. All they did was my oil change. Didn't check the air pressure on my tires, didn't check my lights and to see if they are working properly. The person that changed my oil just didn't give a crap, oh they just asked me if my wipers are good. There's two people working here by the way. Now you wonder why the customer service is terrible. You don't take care of your employees they don't take care of the customers. All I know is I will never come back here again. Writing this review while waiting on my truck to be finish. Oh he asked me if my low tires sensors are showing, basically being lazy so he don't have to check it manually. If my tire sensors is malfunctioning I would be sol. Over all the worst place I have ever encountered for oil change. My company truck we have to use lease plan and this guy don't even know the log in information to submit my transaction to lease plan. I usually don't leave bad reviews but this is beyond ridiculous, I am sitting in my truck now and been here for over 45 minutes waiting on a receipt from these people, it's not fall time or spring time and the heat in Oklahoma is no joke.
