Van Leeuwen Plumbing is like a lot of businesses. They are great while the money is flowing. I have had lots of work done here at my home, never asked for a quote, and always paid my bills right away. Then the one time I was in a jam, I needed a washer for a kitchen tap (that they had originally installed) to allow a renovation to continue I called and got the 'we will look into it and get back to you'. This was urgent and I stated so, but never heard back during that day. I eventually called back the next day and got the 'oh, we have been busy and didn't get around to looking for that, but we will now'. Five minutes later I got the 'we looked and can't find it, maybe try Amazon'. I doubt they even looked because for once there was nothing in it for them. Very disappointing. I never contacted them back as I instead just gave up on them and moved to another plumbing contractor. But when I saw recently that Van Leeuwan won a Reader's Choice award..........well, I had to say something! read more
