The racks are bursting with labels like Zambesi, Nom D, Nolita, Rare, Marnie Skillings, Kate Sylvester, Camilla & Marc, Cohen & Sabine...the list goes on. The shop is owned and often manned by Fiona who does all the buying and has an excellent eye. She is an enthusiastic sales person but if you're willing to accept her help she really will pull something fantastic for you. She won't ever try to sell you in to something that doesn't look good on you. The store is pricy, but trust me the investment is always well worth it. Tip to grab a bargain? Entity has excellent sales at sale time, so hit it up at tax time or post Christmas.

The Lotus shops are run by the same people who run Govindas (hippy cinema in Darlo) - not that you would be able to figure that out from looking at the products on sale. The clothes are part-hipster, part-flowy, generally pretty cute stuff and very affordable. I buy stuff here and so does my mother, which tells you something about the selection. Sometimes the shop seems to be filled with oversized flowy mumu type shirt dress things, and other times I can't get enough of it, and it's exciting how cheap it all is. The quality of the products is not amazing, so if you like quality design this is not the place to come. There is a huge table of (cheap) jewellery, with a lot of choice. Affordability seems to be one of their principles as a NFP, and they also run the label Alice Underground, which has funky, very wearable stuff. *100% of the profits go to "Providing financial aid to support children living below the poverty line in India by providing education, health care and nutrition." It seems to me that this store is a haven mostly for that buyer who relishes owning designer clothes for their own merit more than the one who is guided on what to buy by her own style. I reached out to Bassike after my $600+ purchase, having them for only two weeks, worn about 5 times and the leather has torn on the heel area, both shoes and looks shabby. Basically Bassike Customer Service made it very clear they would not be replacing them, after reaching out twice. I have never experienced such poor Customer Service, so disappointing! Oh but apparently I can make an arrangement to take the shoes into the store for further assessment but was made clear that the decision is not likely to change. Well thank you for your premium service Bassike. Perhaps stay away from footwear sales.

Also have some amazing jewellery and funky frames. And this place teaches me a lesson that you don't have to spend a fortune to look and feel good. Lucky me I saw this skirts rack inside this shop and they are very good quality designer skirts. They are so gorgeous - I wish I can 3 of them - end up buy 2 and save the last for later. They cost me $20 each and you wouldn't get this skirt with this price outside for sure with this quality. Even it's second-hand, it's really in a good nick - as it's new. Definitely will come back again to buy more from this shop. The owner is very friendly and she can do alteration if needed too with cheap price. Really recommended to come to see what's in this store. Will be back again to see their stock.
