I cannot believe she has such good reviews. She was very greedy & dishonest with me. On our first visit she told us we should take our baby in for MONTHLY well visits. Not only is this unnecessary, she is putting our healthy babies at risk of catching something from another sick child simply by sitting in the waiting room. (We waited THREE HOURS with a 6 month old). She obviously only wants to see babies frequently so she can bill our insurance while not caring that she's putting their health at risk. Anyway, during our first visit she touched my son's penis without wearing gloves and his uncircumcised tip was red for a few days afterwards which I was very upset about. I didn't want to go back after that but she has such good reviews I wanted to give her another chance. There are not many vax friendly pediatricians and she knows that and tries to take advantage of this fact. 2 months later we took my son for a sick visit. She demanded that we owed her a co pay for the well visit 2 months PRIOR (??) even though at the time she said we did not owe her anything. When I told her I don't have a co pay for well visits, she lied and said that she called the insurance company that day & they "changed their rules" and then also mumbled something about the insurance company not paying her enough. I don't know why that has anything to do me. I pay monthly for my coverage . That's not my problem if the insurance company is not paying you what you want. I reluctantly paid her (she's cash only btw, another red flag ) and told her I was going to call my insurance company to check. After my visit, I called my insurance company and they confirmed that I did NOT owe her a co pay and they even placed me on hold while they called her to let her know that she was wrong. The following day, I called Dr Vargas and asked her to please refund me and she said that she would mail me a check. Five weeks later and I still did not receive the check. My husband then called her to ask where the check was. She got very defensive and told him that she had to call the insurance company to make sure we did not owe her money (which was nonsense as I just said the insurance company already called her). She never had any intention on mailing me the check. My husband ended up stopping by her office to pick up the check and she told him to find a new pediatrician (which we already did). I guess she's mad that she was unable to take advantage of us. Do not settle for this doctor simply bc she's vax friendly. On facebook there is a group called Miami Crunchy Moms, and they will help you find a legitimate pediatrician who is. read more

Absolutely thrilled with the care my daughter has received from Dr. Diana E Vargas since the day she was born! From the very first appointment, Dr. Vargas made us feel so comfortable and confident in her expertise. She is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also warm, compassionate, and truly listens to our concerns. Each visit has been a positive experience, and it's clear that Dr. Vargas genuinely cares about my daughter's well-being. She's vaccine friendly which is not only amazing to find, but also rare to find in South Florida. She's always thorough, takes the time to explain things in a way we can understand, and makes sure we're always informed about our options. We've never felt rushed, and I love how much she fosters a trusting relationship with both me and my daughter. Before visiting her I highly suggest you be a good mom with common sense and bring your child her own toys, books, and things to keep your baby entertained. The office does come with a play room but just to be on the safe side bring your own toys. You will be waiting some time, but it's not the end of the world. I'm so grateful for her dedication to our family's health, and I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my daughter's care. Highly recommend! read more

Had my first appointment with her today. After 4 different pediAtricians I was recommended to her by a friend....She was amazing! She did great with my kids and was very friendly and took the time to listen to my concerns where my previous pediAtricians treated us as a number....I feel very comfortable with her and trust her which is critical when it comes to a pediAtrician for me. Staff was friendly as well. They also have a well room and a sick room which is something my other Ped didn't have read more

Very caring and motherly. She was my doctor since I was 6 years old and first moved to Miami. Gives her full attention and care to the patient. Always made me feel comfortable and eased my worries. I became very sick with mono and she always made time to see me on last minute notice, even if it was a ridiculous amount of times for those 5 weeks that I was sick. The only reason I knock off a star is because of the time you will spend in the waiting room. But I know it's because she is giving each of her patients her full attention. read more

Dr. Vargas has been seeing my infant for 5 months and I honestly have no complaints. I will be transferring my other 2 children to her office as well. You will experience long wait times but that is because she is being thorough and attentive to her other patients as she will be with you. She takes her time and explains all possible side affects to medications. I haven't dealt with a physician that takes their times and listens to all patient/parent concerns and provides solutions doesn't just rush you out of the office. read more

Well, I hope I don't make this review long - or maybe I should. I went to this doctor because I saw some of the reviews and all said she was a great doctor, very caring, great with kids, never rushing and taking the time with each patient, and indeed that was the true. Every time that we were seen she was very polite and showed really interest in our child, and always answered all of our questions and/or concerns. Also, I decided to have Dr. Vargas as my baby's pediatrician since - from the research and reviews - stated she was "vaccine friendly", and again that was also true. She provided good background and why she was not prone to vaccinate babies with the cdc schedule, and she let us decide which vaccines to give our baby, with of course her recommendations. So I really liked that. However, the one vaccine that we decided to give our baby by the third round that he needed it her office didn't have it. And here comes the bad, the really bad. I believe that the least amount of time we waited in this office was 1 hour, with the most being almost 3 hours wait to be seen by the Dr. Not nice, not professional, not respectable to others time. Besides this, the office is filthy, not clean at all. She uses a lot of outdated machines, which I don't mind, but the couches, the toys, and all of the other equipment were dirty. I mean this is a doctor's office! I don't get how can this be allowed. I didn't notice this at first, but by my third visit I started to noticed how dirty this office really was. And what ultimately made me changed pediatricians was that by our 7th visit, she didn't have the third round of the shot for our baby (when it was supposed to be given by our last visit, and she told us she was going to order it) IT WAS THE ONLY VACCINE that we had decided to give our baby, I mean, just ONE, How can this happened? I still do not get it. I know, I waited 7 whole months. Maybe I was hopeful that next visit I wouldn't have to wait so long. Maybe I though by the next appointment I will enter the office and would be able to give my baby a clean toy. MAYBE, by the next appointment, they will have my baby's shot ready. But it never happened. I stayed there for 7 months because I really liked the Dr. But the dirtiness, the lack of professionalism, their lack of responsibility to their patients, and their lack of overall consideration for their patients and us, the parents was not worthy. PLEASE, if you would still like to try with this Dr. BE AWARE that you will be waiting there for A LONG TIME, and have a back up Dr for your baby. For me, the wait, the office's poor efficacy and competency was not worth my money, time and most importantly my baby's health and care. read more
