I organized here an aperitivo with other Yelpers so we could speak in English. There was a bit of a misunderstanding since that night the Pub had also an English aperitivo with a teacher and activities in the downstairs space and they thought our reservation was to participate in that one. Luckily, they found us some space upstairs (after some waiting) and we were comfortably seated. What I didn't like was the few food that was brought to us as "aperitivo food", I was not expecting a typical Milanese buffet, but something other than popcorn would have been appreciated. They have dinner options but I didn't get to see the menu. 2 people in our party ordered some food and it looked good (not very English-pub portions, though). Also, I would have appreciated a printed menu with the beers they had, sure the nice waitress did her best to help us pick one based on our preferences but I would have liked to read more about the beer before ordering it. I had a cider (didn't like its taste) and a nice Sierra Nevada, suggested by Yelper Raquel. Prices are high, even if you consider the beer quality, it's central Milan, blah, blah, blah - there's always an excuse not to keep reasonable prices. Anyhow, the atmosphere was OK and our evening was nice (loved meeting and getting to speak with everyone in our party), unfortunately I was expecting more from the place. I might come back, perhaps for one of the many events they organize: live music, comedy shows, etc.

After 11pm, they have a late night alternative menu with burgers and easy dishes to cook. Laid back dining area to the right when you walk in. In the center, you have a bar that serves micro brewries products like the Psycho, blonde beer with 9% alcohol; tasty! On the left, you have a dance floor reserved for tango and waltz dancers. Nothing too involved but older people are actually here for dancing. It really makes this place charming, with the music, dancing, drinking and eating in a quiet and respectful environement. If you were to ask me the names I'd be going "ehrm.... hhhhhummmm... eeeehh..." But, FEAR you not!!! Some are Draft, some bottled but you got a craving, they got the beer for ya... We started off with a light fruity beer for me and a off-guinness path for Alex... then I asked to spice things up (8.5% and slightly too bitter for my taste) and Alex to slow things down... then we met half way... Then we grabbed a bottled light (corona styled beer) with a cat on the bottle brand... Then we went to an ice cream parlor but felt we should get one more beer... and once more the staff was giving us a special.... I can't stress enough how chatty, down-to-earth, knowledgeable and affable the staff is... not to mention some of the all-men dream team was pretty darn hot (just a hint for the single ladies out there). I especially don't like to be scorned or looked down by the trashy people who manage this rundown place. Get a shower and learn some good manners, fellas! If you come for the aperitivo, you don't get the usual buffet: they serve a couple of dishes per person instead. And, boy, they are good! Cheese with honey, tarts, ham, mini-burgers, mini-meatballs, cous cous, mashed pumpkin... Name one tasty thing and you have it there! And just when you start thinking that some pastry would be nice, there you go, a delicious slice of chocolate cake materializes in front of you! Now, as if it wasn't enough, a special mention goes to the cocktails. Very few, but very thoroughly made, with a crazy attention to details and presentation. If are you like me and enjoy having the aperitivo with something wine-like but stronger, don't think twice and get the Maffei 75: prosecco, gin and lemon, it's really as good as it gets! After reading the review of a fellow Yelper, my date, and I made a reservation at this bar for Aperitivo, the happy hour of Italy. New to the scene, the general concept being, you buy/order a drink, and you get complimentary snack, food, munchies, etc. Reservations - easily made on yelp. We made our reservation early, and got there 20 minutes late, not realizing how far the walk was from the train station to Prog, halfway there we almost gave up, but glad we didn't (only because it was cold). After getting there, we received a warm welcome, and they seated us immediately. We ordered our first round of drinks, and although I do not remember the names of the drinks, they were, by no exaggeration, the BEST COCKTAILS I HAVE EVER HAD. Presentation was a 5, taste was a 5, and the time taken to make each cocktail was nothing short of a masterpiece. The bartender was such a sweetheart, and it was amazing to watch him make his art! Aperitivo: TO DIE FOR. It was dissimilar to other aperitivos I have come across, in that it was basically like a 3 course meal = so AMAZING. We got some chips first, then a plate of assorted cheeses, assorted tuna appetizers, and a ham like tostada with dipping sauces that were interestingly complimentary. Second we got the 'main course' - which was little mini burgers, with a side of mashed sweet potatoes, cornbread and potatoes. My date is a pescatarian, and the wonderful lady was more than helpful, and offered him a fish main dish instead of the mini-burgers. He was delighted, and I was so happy that they were so accommodating. Lastly, a chocolate crumble cake for dessert, which was mouth-watering, but we were so full, we couldn't even finish it! Halfway through the main course we ordered more drinks, two lychee flavored drinks that were delicious as well! (You can see all the pictures below of our fantabulous meal). Note: All the food is homemade so it was delicious! Originally we had plans to go 'Aperitivo hopping' - but this was our first and last stop, and it was thoroughly amazing! The food, the drinks, and the service was impeccable from top to bottom. I cannot recommend this wonderful little cocktail bar enough! Don't miss it! Tip: If you check in on Yelp, you get 20% off! Overpriced and snooty, and not really very good food…read more I'll give it 2 stars because they tried to be quick and sat me outdoors. The views are great and the atmosphere is good. The service was very bad, the server tried to tell me to get a 50€ steak when I kept just asking for a simple salad. The salad and a water were 30€ total. Ridiculous! If you're hungry, do NOT go here! Because to eat a normal-sized meal here would probably be minimum of 60€, if you want an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Crazy!
