Vega Baja is one of several local fibre providers that were acquired by Avatel. It still operates under the Vega Baja brand.
The service is acceptable, but not perfect. In this area there are not many alternatives, so choice is limited. I am a customer myself and I continue using the service.
Recently, the connection of a relative was cut because their wireless service was discontinued. Avatel / Vega Baja was not able to install a wired connection, even though neighbouring houses do have service. This created confusion. Now the process is ongoing to contract the service through another company from the same group, TVT. Overall, it feels disorganised.
On the positive side, they are flexible with payments. You can pay by card and you are not forced to use direct debit, which is a plus.
In short, the experience is mixed. It works, it is usable, but it can be messy when issues appear. read more
