The first few weeks of a restaurant opening are going to be chaotic, but that didn't stop this one…read morefrom making an all-in-all pretty good first impression. The vegetarian food here--if you're looking beyond a baked potato and a salad--is the best in Hannover. There, I said it. It made up for waiting an additional twenty minutes standing near the front door even though a friend had reserved a table a week ahead already. It even made up for the restaurant cramming our party of five at a tiny table for four with the fifth person having to sit very uncomfortably when the restaurant didn't have the balls to dismiss the two Asian girls at the adjacent table we needed who wouldn't leave even after they'd finished their food and paid for over an hour. The food and drinks that eventually arrived came in a very timely manner, everything was super fresh and perfectly cooked as well as attractively arranged, and we were all very happy with our meals and the service. I ordered the Dragon Bowl and there were plenty of perfectly cooked shrimps but a measly amount of rice noodles. That being said, the snap peas were perfectly pan seared on one side, the veggies were julienned to reasonable sizes, and the sauce was well seasoned. The prices are kind of steep for this restaurant with the amount of food you get, so be forewarned that the average German will not be full with just a main dish. I ordered the Buddha Rolls to supplement my meal and they were very good with seitan and a fragrant peanut dipping sauce. I tried my friend's Pagoda Schale seitan rolls and they were outstanding and tasted like the delicious food you can get at Buddhist temples in Los Angeles. My husband's Tuna It On was just too salty for my taste though, and my least favorite dish of the night along with the Sweet Sticks, which turned out to be very overpriced sweet potato fries--no, there is nothing special at all about these 10 average sized thin sticks of sweet potato that they tried to arrange into a sad little pile to be worthy of its €3.90 price tag. Beverages also average around €5 a pop. All in all, the prices are high for what you get and there are a few kinks to work out, but the quality of what you get makes up for it a little. I would go back to try the rest of the menu just because there is still so much good to be had at this trendy new joint.

I ordered a white ice tea and it was served in a really cute mason jar and thoroughly enjoyed it. We waited a little for our burgers (it could've just been the hunger dictating how long it was) but when we got them we weren't disappointed. I got the Caio Bella and loved the cheese/sauce that it came with, and my friend really liked his inside out burger. For dessert, each of us ordered a milkshake (I got Nutella and he got the Oreo one) and I loved the over the top ness of it (mine came with mini donuts), but it wasn't so large that I couldn't finish it. My friend lives in Hanover and has came here multiple times and really enjoys it and if I'm ever in Hanover again I'd love to come back.

A modern yet cosy African restaurant in one of the nicest areas of downtown Hannover. Pretty…read morecrowded, which is a good sign. We booked a table for 15 persons in advance (an informal business dinner) without any problems. Friendly and attentive personnel, good atmosphere. The African (Senegalese) meals are not completely authentic (they deliberately adapted the menu to the German/European taste, I was told), but still sufficiently 'exotic' to be convincingly African (at the same time, my colleagues had no problem finding a meal that they liked, probably because the meals are 'understandable' for us Europeans). My (vegetarian) thiéboudienne was - according to the waiter - one of the more authentic dishes and indeed it was nicely spiced (some hot sauce on the table made it complete) and really something that I hadn't eaten before. My colleagues were very enthusiastic as well. The restaurant was full and space was quite limited. One could consider that as a disadvantage, but actually it is a sign that this (relatively new) restaurant has become quite popular. The staff was very busy but at all time attentive. Definitely a good place for a business dinner, but also a good choice for a dinner for two. Eating out in Germany is almost always quite cheap and at least affordable. This restaurant is no exception. 10 to 15 euro for a main dish and decently priced beverages are no reason for staying away from Kilimanjaro.

Since there was a party of 8 ahead of us, the kitchen decided that they would finish off that table first before even getting started on our appetizers. After more than 40 minutes there was still nothing in terms of food on our table. We decided to cut our losses and leave the restaurant. I cannot recommend going to this restaurant.
