Nowadays they focus way too much on safety and take out anything that could be remotely dangerous.. I guess that's a sigh of relief for parents but kids just want to play. Now the park has been completely modified. It's much smaller and they have taken out all the best things, like the giant tires, and replaced them with swings and other boring stuff. The school does have a huge playground though, with a few soccer fields and baseball diamond. It's great for anyone that likes to organize their own games with their friends on the weekends.

This school is pretty average. Most of the staff are nice but the school keeps downgrading every…read moreyear we are not allowed backpacks so we have to carry all our textbooks and binders to class we also only have one locker break that is about 5 minute and we are expected to be able to go to the bathroom, get our binders/textbooks from our lockers which are often in different hallways and also get to class. In between classes the hallways are so crowded you can not get through them and will then be marked late for class. Luckily in this school I personally have only seen drugs (asides from caffeine) used in a school bathroom once.

The IB and academy is good too, one of the best if not the best in the city. The academy kids tend to be a wild though, but mostly their chill people, who don't tend to go out of there way to ruin another persons day. IB kids live in there world, and Academy kids live in there own world too, it's a school that tends to a child's needs in every shape and form!

They're always there to support the students and are constantly checking in on their mental health. The students are also amazing, I have so many amazing friends and kind people in my class. Sure there may be that occasional racist or someone who likes to start drama but really, once you find a group of friends who care about you, it's easy to ignore the odd asshole. Super lgbtq+ inclusive, especially during sex Ed, as someone who identifies as queer it's nice to hear other perspectives. 10/10 school, super kind and caring, would recommend placing your kids into this amazing school, I couldn't feel more welcome there.
