Half order of eggs benedict, the sauce was under the heat lamp. Too long looked and tasted awful

12/3/25 11:43am Extraordinarily slow service!! NOT CROWDED AT ALL Ordered food at 12:09 and got it at 12:37! Asked for a refill on my coffee and never got it. Never got a refill on my water, my glass was empty most of my meal. Waited for the check and finally at 1:23 pm. 1 HOUR & 40 MINUTES! FOOD WAS NOT COOK TO ORDER AND IT WAS NOT HOT, IT WAS BARELY WARM. THIS WAS AN OVERALL AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

This is our second time being at this little place. I love how cute it is decorated. The food is wonderful and the service is amazing. Today, hubby had the country Benedict and I had a build your own omelette with some cheesy hash browns. If you are in Rocklin and have a chance to eat, I would recommend it. Only thing is, they do get quite busy.

Coming here for 20+ years, always reliably good food, large portions, and a "cozy" vibe inside. They are very good and welcoming for families with kids. Menu has large variety of breakfast and lunch options. Limited outdoor seating, plenty of onsite parking.

This is my third time trying this place and never again how is this French onion soup?

A very interesting place... I came here on a whim being nearby and wanting lunch. Once I saw the name it was immediately clear to be a place I have had coupons mailed to me with a bunch of ad flyers. I was immediately greeted and seated in a comfortable part of the restaurant. The place is larger than expected The menu is rather ordinary, yet quite broad for breakfast or lunch. For lunch there's the usual array of sandwiches, salads, burgers. I chose a tuna melt with a side of cole slaw. There's a choice of sides besides slaw- fries, salad, fruit, tomato slices, cottage cheese. It seems to harken back to a bygone era most appealing to seniors (I am one!) The tuna melt was excellent on a thick crispy parmesan bread and chocked full of a delicious tuna blend and avocado, some slipping out the sides. The cole slaw was some of the best I have had in awhile, flavorful, fresh and not swimming in runny mayo dressing. My dining partner had the Philly cheese steak sandwich that looked awesome. It was HUGE, full of meat, melted cheese, peppers and more. A stack of fries that appeared quite delectable. Both meals were substantial, yet also on the pricey side yet worth it. Service was very friendly, efficient and on the ball. When it became apparent our sandwiches could do us in with just one napkin the wait person immediately brought more, being attentive, without our asking. I do, in jest, have to comment that something in their affect, effeciency and demeanor made it seem like they were created by AI. The only downside, and the loss on one star, is a desperate need for a interior makeover. The place looks very dated and tired, and in some ways not very clean. I could have taken off more than one star for it, but the food and service made up for it, albeit an unimaginative menu.

My husband and I joke about how this place hoards the top servers in Roseville because in all honesty they all rock. We became regulars here because not only is the food amazing, their entire staff is top notch. We have yet to be served by anyone who's not insanely friendly and kind and attentive. The ambience gives traditional American breakfast at an old American diner. My favorite thing to do is search for hidden objects in the painting on the wall. They have a beautiful painting on one or their walls and the artist adds new hidden objects every once in a while, so we look for hidden characters while we wait for food/eat. Their food is relatively cheap considering the large portion sizes and great taste so this is place became a favorite that we go to at least once a week.

We had a brunch planned with friends and they recommended this place because it is their go to spot. It says a lot about customer service when a place remembers their regulars. The inside is an Americanized Disneyland version of a French bistro and I thought it was great. There are colorful paintings that my friend told me contained pop culture Easter eggs. I regrettably forgot to check this out! It is spacious with seating arrangements for all sized groups. The service we received was some of the best in recent memory. I have not seen many people work as hard as her in any job. She remembered our friends' regular orders and was polite and professional with us newbies. She kept my coffee cup full the whole time and absolutely blew me away when she gave me a full "to go" cup before we left. I ordered the short stack of pancakes and bacon. The short stack is far from short. It is 3 large pancakes that I tried my best to finish. I failed though. The flavor on the pancakes was good and the bacon was bacon which is always tasty. I can't recommend this place enough because of the service.

Bold flavors, expert preparation, pretty on the plate and generous portions. Bambie had the 1/2 chicken fried southern style. Crispy ouside, soft and moist inside. Side of mash potatoes, side of perfectly sauteed carrot slices. I had a cesar salad. Fresh, crisp, again a big portion. The dressing was a perfect balance of creamy, piquant and a tad peppery. The croutons were crisp and flavorful. Best Ceasar salad that I've had in years. My main dish was the pork carnitas tacos. Topped with heaping mounds of shredded cabbage. Creamy sauce on the cabbage. A side of mild-ish chipotle salsa served on the side to pour on the carnitas. The tacos were so big that they were almost too unwieldly to hold. But I persevered and gobbled them like there is no tomorrow. Satisfying. A big hungry guy will be perfectly happy after polishing off the plate. Wine selection is small but has the usual good suspects in the reasonable price range. Mostly California wines. I live 2 miles from this place. Tonight was my first visit. Oh yeah I'll be a frequent return customer. Highly recommended.

I haven't tried this particular salad at Bennett's before and I was pleased. It's a very large portion, you easily could take some home. It was flavorful packed full of fresh greens, shredded grilled chicken, small chunks of avacado, corn and a mix of other delicious ingredients, and tossed in a light dressing. It came slightly warmed which was very enjoyable. I washed it down with an Arnold Palmer. Very refreshing. Sitting out on the patio was very pleasant as it wasn't too hot outside, and the space is air conditioned in any case. We want to make sure that management knows that Jade, our server, was 'spot on' when it came to our foods; Micha and Candy drifted by often to make sure that all was in order, and Tom (our favorite) made his appearance to 'meet and greet' and add his cordial touch to a wonderful evening - making us feel comfortable. We tried almost all the specials, including cioppino, a peach, garlic bechamel, arugula, prosciutto, balsamic pizza and chicken parm and enjoyed everything. The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. My elderly parents show up for their reservation, only to be turned away by the host due to a private party! When my dad explained they had a reservation and paid for their table, the manager came over to speak to them. The manager said he would refund their reservation charge, but did NOTHING to make it right. They called and confirmed just hours before, turned them away at the door, and didn't even offer to get them a table for the next day or anything. For elderly parents with mobility issues, it's hard enough to get out of the house on a normal day, but to be turned away at the door due to mismanagement of their establishment is just embarrassing.
