I have been a Venus customer since the early 1990s. There was an occasion where skorts I ordered seemed very small, and based upon company reviews, perhaps there is some inconsistency in sizing. My review is between 4-5 Stars, because not every item has been a success, and I have learned that reviewers are very honest and helpful. Venus offers some amazing coupon codes, and my last two purchases have exceeded my quality expectations: one was a crocheted swimsuit coverup; one was a sequin jumpsuit. Once you get to know the product better, you get a feel for what works, what tries too hard, and what looks good on you. Once you know your correct size and preferred style, I highly recommend shopping for bathing suits on sale, but remember that all sales are final on ridiculously low priced clearance items, so make your selections carefully. As far as returns ,if you are willing to accept store credit, then you get the full amount to apply to another purchase, but if you want a refund, then the consumer must pay the return postage. My experiences with customer service have been terrific, and they recently made the returns process much easier. read more

Venus's clothing was the type that you could still look good in without seeming old or, on the flip side, trampy. When buying clothing online, I almost exclusively use Venus and have been doing so for over 15 years. The clothing is fabulous in cut, color, sizing and price about 95% of the time. I very rarely have to return anything and the process is easy. The customer service phone number is always answered. It has been SAD to see a company go down the hill quality wise while doubling their prices. I have been a customer for years and used to enjoy their clothing. Now, the prices are comparable with a name brand store with Walmart quality. I ordered a sweater that I LOVED so much and got tons of compliments, it got old and when I saw it in their page again, I was super excited and without hesitation I ordered in two different colors this time. I am astonished that how bad their customer service is. I asked for them to cancel my order 5 minutes after ordering. On the chat they lied to me and said it was in process shipping. Yet I know it is not as it was 4am in California. I actually confronted the chat that she lied. Then she changed it and said it was just processing. Tried to change the address on an order and they wouldn't. The order sat in limbo for 3 days which was ample time to change it. they pushed me to ups. BAD SERVICE. Needed swimming clothes with expedited shipping, and I chose it. After my order was placed, I found that they made it for regular shipping! I immediately contacted them and they said there is no way to change it and they do not accept returns. They write n the website that they accept cancellation or change in the order, but it seems like it is NEVER a feasible thing. When I called UPS, they said they never have received the package even on the next day, and they said the package is with VENUS. Then, I contacted them again, they kept saying it is already shipped and processed so they do not cancel or modify. Extremely Inconsistent sizing. Mostly synthetic materials now. Quality overall seem to have declined over the years. Unfavorable for the customer return policy with a short window (30 days), and you now get charged for return shipping. With a large amount of other retailers out there, Venus's hit-or-miss shopping experience that is costly if something doesn't work out is simply not worth it. First time customer. Ordered a Bikini top Floral Flair, Ordered the largest size available which indicated it fits DD. This top was no more than a size A or B bra size - absolutely no way it would fit me or anyone else larger than a B. Also, there is something drastically wrong with this pattern they are using, The shoulder straps are super close to the underarms making even less room in the front and it fits super badly. If you are A or B size this DD might fit you. I am disappointed in this purchase and the fact that the sizing chart was deceitful. Scam for Canadian customer! Placed an order Dec16. Looked like it went through but didn't get an email confirmation. Phoned them and they confirmed it didn't go through. So I placed it again. Same thing. Placed the order by phone and it went through. Then almost a week later I got an email the first two orders did go through. Phoned to cancel them. I got a refund but it was convoluted and I was worried I would have to pay for shipping back if the items arrived - fortunately I don't think they're coming. Placed an order on November 29th, received a shipping confirmation on December 7th telling me to expect an email from their border partner (I'm in Canada). Two weeks later when I still had no email and no package I called customer service and was told they were switching carriers which caused a delay but I was assured that while she couldn't send tracking info, she could see it was expected to be delivered on December 27th and to rest assured it would arrive then. On January 2nd when it still hadn't arrived I called back. The second agent apologized and said there was no information on it in their system what so ever and she would request a refund right away at it cad reached "crisis status". Fine. Despite waiting over a month at this point I agreed to just take the refund. I checked my bank statement on January 5th only to discover they had only refunded $104 of the $154 (CAD) I had originally be charged. So I called back again and was told that they don't refund taxes or import fees and that I would have to fill out a form and submit it to the government to get the taxes and import fees back. I have two issues with this - first, they knew this was a problem order and were refunding it so why was this form never mentioned by the first two agents I spoke to?! And second, if the order had shipped I could maybe accept that reasoning but they never sent the order according to the last CS agent I spoke to, therefore no taxes or import fees would have been paid out yet, meaning the money still sits with Venus. When I questioned that I was told I was correct but that they have to follow their procedures and I would have to submit the form which they would send via email. Its now been two hours since my THIRD conversation with them and I have yet to receive this form. So in addition to not having the items that I ordered over a month ago, I am out $50 because of their errors and have spent nearly an hour on the phone with them to date trying to resolve the issue and have to spend additional time filling out and submitting a form to the government - if the form even shows up - and then wait an ADDITIONAL 2 - 3 weeks for a refund once that form has been submitted as per the agent. To top it all off, the exchange rate has changed so even if I do eventually get the money back, I will be taking a loss on the exchange. This experience has been horrible from the get go and I certainly will not be purchasing anything else from this company and will be sure to advise everyone I know to avoid them as well. read more

I have used Venus for about ten years. Something has really changed there. Customer service just lied to me for three weeks. I had a tracking number they gave me and I kept writing them saying UPS has not received the package. They made all sorts of excuses, UPS was busy, Venus had sent it but it was delayed and finally it was because of tariffs! I got mad, went to my credit card company and filed a dispute. I just got a notice the items were sent yesterday, with a new tracking number that actually shows it is moving. Keep in mind, this is three weeks after my order, and a tracking number that never was used. I got one set of clothes I had ordered on the same day. I must say the quality of the products were much less than they used to be. Sad to see a company change to such a negative degree. I won't be back. Be careful, use PayPal, it protects you. They seem to use east european factories as well as chinese ones and sizes vary between those garments, but they don't indicate the origin in the description. But that is not the reason I am quitting shopping with them. I started noticing weird website pricing trends a while ago, such as a price increase right before "sale" announcement. I've always had a great experience with the quality of clothes as well as the fit excluding a couple of items here or there that might've not fit exactly how I'd like them. Venus has always had a free return policy until just recently they're charging almost $12 to return an item. First they say it's $8.99 but then they say it was a promotional shipping so they charge you additional money for a return. Shame on me because last time when I ordered, I said that was it. I'll never order from Venus again, but silly me I forgot. I just had another order deliver from them and need to return the items. Their quality of clothes used to be amazing. I still have dresses from years ago that I wear and still get tons of compliments on that. They have held up well and look just as good as the day that I bought them. However, these last two orders and more specifically this last one, the quality of items is HORRID. The dresses that I got do not fit over my chest and I actually ordered a size up. Their sizing is way off the quality the seams the fit is all trash lately. Their dresses now remind me of the clothes, my teenage daughter orders from SHEIN. THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING FROM VENUS. I have placed orders a few different times because their clothes look so cute in the photos. They claim the sizes are accurate, I.e. don't run large or small. But, everything I have ordered has fit way to big even though I order the same size I order elsewhere & have worn for quite some time. I was excited about a new sweater I just ordered and even ordered a smaller than usual size. However, it still did not fit well. Quality isn't quite as good as depicted in photos, but I've received worse elsewhere so no real complaint there. Delivery is slow but at least the returns/refunds have gone pretty smoothly & timely as long as I stay within the 30 day window. A few months ago, I ordered a bikini for my May vacation. I ordered online specifically to make sure it wasn't on backorder. After weeks, I received the bottoms but not the top. I called to inquire where the Top was and they told me that they were being delivered and would be shipped out within a week. A little more than a week later, I called back and the item was still on back order. Kind of hard to wear the bottoms without the top! Their customer service person today, Debbie, was very helpful in canceling my order and refunding my money so that I can return the bottoms because the item is STILL BACKORDERED!
