I called for assistance today because my main residential drain was backed up, clogging both tubs and backing up the toilets. Needless to say, I was desperate for some help. While waiting for professional help, I poured some drain cleaner in the tubs, hoping it would help while I went to work. By the time I got home from work, it had cleared up a bit. But I already had scheduled the technicians to come out. Just to play it safe, I requested they come to snake the main drain anyway to make sure. I was willing to pay for services even if it was just to make sure the clog was cleared because it was so backed up. Rather than just clearing the main drain and charging me for the call out and services, they asked to run a camera into the drain first. They video recorded and photographed the inside of my drain. They showed me why snaking it wouldn't help my build up of gunk over the years. Since I didn't need that service, they didn't take advantage of me. The drain was working as I needed now without them doing any additional work. The guys literally left my house with a handshake. No charges for the call out or diagnosis and any sketchy offers. THEY PASSED UP ON MONEY BECAUSE IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. I trust them and will be using them until I have a reason not to. I highly recommend them and I'm glad I listened to my in-laws when they said these guys are fair. When I am ready to spend on hydro jetting the drains, I will use their services for sure. First off for context, I am a general contractor and typically work with a tight circle of subcontractors that I will trust on my job sites. Today I had the pleasure of coincidentally running into this plumbing company, Vera plumbing. When calling the company, I spoke to a sweet hearted and professional receptionist who was able to not only let me know of when they're availability (same-day service) but also was able to give pricing over the phone that was amazingly accurate to the required services needed. Meaning they did not beat around the bush. They were straight up, honest and trustworthy. All this and we haven't even seen a technician yet. Once the technician showed up named Daniel, he was very professional, clean, on time/early and was very good at explaining every reason and step of what was going on. This is where it gets good. A lot of contractors out there would love to take advantage of situations and up charge things that are not necessarily needed in the situation of charging the client. Not one point or time during the whole ordeal of working with Vera Plumbing did I ever feel pressured or influenced to do any actions or spend any kind of money out of what was necessary to accomplish my goal in the situation. We were able to successfully Hydro jet my 4 inch mainline approximately 25+ feet. I have had multiple plumbers out with the consistency of them all saying there is a clog and they need to snake the drain. Every plumber has previously snake the drain and the issue had never been truly fixed just temporarily Band-Aid . But Daniel went a step ahead and took the time to not only come up with a solution that was very budget friendly by water jetting the line to visually inspect the plumbing line to ensure the pipes were in good operating condition. Mind you this is all same day service. I literally spoke to the receptionist, probably two hours from the time that he showed up then Daniel had to go to the shop to retrieve the Hydro jet and was gone for no more than a half an hour and back to his hard work and dedication to accomplish my issue with the upmost satisfaction!
