Yes, it's an older site, but if you want all the mod-cons, try a Euro-campsite and pay accordingly. Re: dogs. The campsite has no control over the noise neighbourhood dogs make. It's something one has to get used to in Turkey. I recall language was an issue, but as we had travelled through 15 countries on this trip, one muddles on and there were no problems. There was running water, showers, albeit cold/Luke-warm but after 12 weeks of camping, we were very happy with the provisions. Very much hope they are still operating, as we intend to go a trip around the Black Sea, and would love to go back to Mistik and neighbouring village.

The staff was VERY nice and always helpful to any issues we had. They were also quick to respond if you called and requested something from them. We stayed in two types of rooms since we were starting and ending our tour with this hotel. We got the suite on the first pass which was huge and very spacious for three adults. On our second pass we got a standard two queen room which was still very spacious for three adults. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms weren't quiet up to build quality that were use to back home but regardless very clean and spacious. Although the location is quite a distance from all the big attractions, I still conciser it to be a great location as thee are multiple (cheap and yummy) grocery stores, and money exchange banks all within a few minutes of walking. I think there may be a mosque nearby because we could hear the call sound from our room every time it went off, it wasn't too loud as we all slept through it easily. My only real complaint is that the staffs English could be improved, but regardless we had no issues!

Although I missed the city, I found that this hotel was a very nice place to stay and very convenient to the new airport. My colleague was here for almost three weeks, and I have been here for almost two weeks, and we both appreciated the food, hospitality, atmosphere and the attention to detail that makes a long stay relaxing and not a chore. The facility is nice but doesn't have a pretentious feel, and I can't say there has been any part of my stay that wasn't very good. It was nice to sit and enjoy coffee during a surprise snowstorm. I always enjoy the food in Istanbul, andthis hotel continues the trend, with a nice selection of western and Turkish choices. My guess is that it is probably quite nice when the weather is nice, hope to come back again.

The Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar are also not too far so you can do so much while you're here. The room isn't too spacious but it is clean and well maintained. Service here is also impeccable. The breakfast in the mornings is also a huge plus- the huge spread is impressive and you will leave feeling quite satisfied. Definitely enjoyed my stay here!
