This is the only local posting that I can use. I have been trying to get Earthlink and Verizon to install a T1 line in my home based business for over 4 months now. I am VERY unhappy with the service. An update a month an a half ago was, "The tech came to your home last week and he was refused entry." (Duh! Maybe it was the wrong home.) Then again two weeks ago, "The tech cannot find your home."; and on the phone, "I will get this straightened out and maybe we can get someone scheduled for tomorrow" (when there was already someone supposed to be scheduled to be there that day). I admit that this is not wholely Verizon's fault. We ordered the T1 through Earthlink because it was $200 less monthly than going direct to Verizon, but this kind of service proves that monopolies are inherently bad business. read more
