I was then called the day and was told they made a mistake and that promotion was no longer valid. I was told to call ATT 611 number. I did that the next day and after speaking to 6 people for more than 2.5 hours finally got it fixed. Customer Service told me to take my old phone to the store and they would return them. I went to the store today and explained everything to the Store Manager and he basically told me they don't return the phone and when I told him what Customer Service told me he basically told they were wrong and I would have to Customer Service do it. We had some words and basically told me to leave his store. Very rude from the start of our conversation. Very frustrating!

When I pointed…read moreout that his calculations were wrong (and they were), he doubled down and told me they were correct (told me I was getting a phone for half price...$350 for my trade -in off a $829 phone is not half price.) When I did the math and pointed out his mistake, he said "I guess I was wrong" and then kicked me out of the store for being confrontational. Told me I had to leave and that he was not helping me any more. I did not raise my voice, I did not cuss him out, I simply stated that what he said was wrong (in my best no-nonsense teacher voice). Then today I received my bill and noticed that a $35 activation fee was added to a new line and $35 upgrade fee was added to 2 phone lines (each) that I upgraded to new phones. None of these fees were disclosed at the time of sale. Plus they added Next Up ($10) to all phone lines and insurance to one phone that I specifically stated I did not want insurance. Now to cancel that I have to call ATT customer service...which is another whole circus. Unfortunately I have phone lines that are under contract for almost 3 years, and canceling those lines would result in paying full price for the phones. the Olney Il ATT Retailer is the worst place I have ever done business with.
