Verizon in Destin has been the worst experience I have had as a small business customer. The business account manager comes across as childish and extremely lazy, with zero sense of urgency or ownership. Simple requests drag on, calls and emails go unanswered, and any issue that requires effort gets brushed off or pushed back on the customer. From a business-account standpoint, the treatment has felt unfair and flat-out unprofessional. I expect honest communication, follow-through, and at least a basic understanding of what my account needs. Instead, I've gotten attitude and excuses. Verizon's network and products are one thing, but the way this location handles business customers is a serious problem and absolutely not worth the headache. read more

very bad experience here. First off, I walk in and not a single employee greets me or lets me know how long it would be, or if they would help me at all. After about 20 mins of waiting without any greeting two other ladies come in behind me who had to wait to be helped as well. After another 20 mins of no communication a rep comes up to me and puts me on the wait list and says I will be next. So I figured I'd be okay to take a seat to the side since I was assured I was first on the waitlist and therefore will be first to be helped . Id say about another 20 mins go by and two female reps are freed from previous customers. They both go right up to the two ladies who came in well behind me (what is the point of putting me on the waitlist if it's not used or considered by employees ?). I later found out that one customer who was jumped ahead of me was a friend of the female employee, and the other was just simply helped before me despite me being there well before, and again being on the waitlist supposedly to be first to be helped. When The employee who helped her friend finished up with her she walked straight back to the employee area grabbed her stuff and left. Looking right at me as she walked out without a care in the world knowing very well how long I had been there. These unprofessional and selfish behaviors continued after this. It seemed to be common theme that when each employee finished up with customers ahead they would just go to the back for very long periods of time knowing very well how long myself and other customers at this point had been waiting. I understand breaks are needed but when you have multiple customers sitting right in front of you for over an hour waiting to be helped you should maybe put their needs ahead of your own. when I was finally helped I asked about the two ladies jumping ahead of me and the male employee who put me on the waitlist said that would never have happened if he was manager and apologized. Today was a total sh*t show. It took 4 hours to upgrade my phone. Completely stressful. However Luke(I think) went above and beyond to help me out. He got the phone working (after the corporate store couldn't) and when I realized my Facebook account wasn't syncing up he spent the last 45 minutes of his day trying to help me figure it out. I also work in customer service and I cannot tell you how much him putting in the extra effort to help me out made my day better. Thank you so much. We just switched our service from another main carrier. I've had great experience with my other carrier for 20+ years but I had to switch due to the signal at my work only being available with Verizon. I was very nervous but so far I've been very pleased. The transition was very smooth and pretty fast. The store representative we worked with was very knowledgeable and able to help us through the entire process and knew the answers to all our questions and concerns. When I returned three days later to buy a speaker that I got an offer for from Verizon email, the store was out of stock; however, the employee and the manager worked together to track one down from a store 50 miles away, called to confirm availability and set up for it to be shipped to my local store. I don't expect to always have everything go so smoothly but if it continues like this then I'm very pleased with Verizon this far , and with this store!!! If I could offer one piece of advice it would be to add a check in kiosk. All employees were assisting customers when myself and three other customers came in almost the same time. We weren't greeted right away (understandably) but we weren't sure what to do and stood around waiting for guidance. Employees were then unsure who arrived first. It didn't become a problem, we were all helped pretty quickly. But I do feel like a kiosk to self check in would be helpful, especially if there are busier times then that day. The manager at this store is incompetent and unhelpful. My card information was stolen and used at this store and my bank is unable to return the funds due to it being a pending charge. I asked the associates if there was anything they could do to help resolve this issue. They were able to find the charge and all of its information but was not able to give it to me. They gave me the fraud number instead who was unable to find the same information after waiting on the phone for 2 hours. I returned to the store with the police to get the needed information and the manager was very unwilling to give the information to the officers. After 45 minutes the manager decided to finally open an internal case as well. He was rude, short, difficult with me and the officers, and did not follow proper protocol for fraudulent activity situations such as this. Terrible situation and this made it worse. I will be canceling my phone service with them immediately. read more

Been a Verizon customer for 10+ years and if this is how the company is now, it may be time for a change. Visited this store with my family to buy 2 phones. The way they set up the security for the devices, it was impossible to pick up the phone to see how it felt in our hands. Signage for products was inadequate (no devices were labelled) (Samsung, Apple, Google - you may want to check the store for compliance with branding+signage marketing guidelines). Sales staff were completely unhelpful (5 people standing around, too busy talking amongst themselves than to talk to us, the only customers in the store). Won't be coming back and may be changing providers. read more

Worst Verizon experience I've ever had. Wow. Came in asking if they had any iPhone13's in stock, guy told me it would just be a few minutes and he'd find out. I wait for 70 minutes before they finally called me up, just to tell me they didnt have any. There were 3 workers standing around chatting and laughing. Also they helped people in front of me in line because they walked up and asked questions. They had a WW2 veteran wait over an hour for him to find out just how to back up his phone on the iCloud!!!! Again, they had 3 employees literally standing there talking with other employees who were working. Not sure if they were assisting or what, but when they weren't working, they were standing in the corner with each other talking. I had to start telling people who came in with kids that when they said "we will be with you in a few minutes" I had to tell them I had already been waiting an hour. When we explained our frustration to the employee he let out an exaggerated sigh and said he just works here and cannot control the wait. I wasted well over an hour at this place, just to be told they were out of stock of the iPhone. No accountability and no responsibility and horrible customer service. They helped a lady out before me, who came in 2 customers after me, but only because she got up and was upset on how long the wait was. The employee told me there were no iPhones in the whole area and nothing would come after Christmas. So.....how come I drove 8 minutes down the road and got a new iPhone 13 in my hands? Unacceptable and I've already let corporate know and they handled my situation within 5 minutes. reading the other reviews confirms how horrible this place is. There is another Verizon store just 8 minuets away that helped me out immediately. This place grosses me out, and smells like mildew when you walk in the door. read more

Staff was nice only problem is with the company it's self and their new COVID policies. We complied with the mask rule but then only one of us was allowed in the store even though there was no one else there.. you have other places like at&t that come out the car with you so that everyone can be involved and talk as a whole. The associates are courteous and knowledgeable, HOWEVER, buyer beware. We were offered a special sale price for a Verizon Zenpad Z10. We relayed that we wanted to use it for internet only tied to the data plan of our current contract. After explaining this and being told we could bring it back in 14 days if issues we agreed. Surprise, the special rate was tied to an added phone line and and a one year contract which we were not told. And, oh by the way, if you bring it back for return within the 14 days you are still charged a $35 restock fee. And it doesnt matter if you have been a loyal 10 year customer, NO EXCEPTIONS. They are not your friend willing to work something out. So, if you are buying your first tablet or any device at this location take someone who knows which questions to ask because you will not be told until you get a surprise when your Verizon bill arrives. read more

I have always been happy with my verizon service, and been treated like a valued customer, until I moved to Destin. We have a business account with 5 lines, and pay almost $500 a month, and the employees at this location treat all of us like garbage. The manager has a constant attitude and talks over you rather that listening to the problems we have. To tell me that I should cancel my accounts if I'm unhappy, and make no attempt to make things better is absurd. Years and years of being a customer means nothing to the people in this branch. Save yourself the headache. She told me to find a new carrier, so that's exactly what we are doing. read more
