I've reviewed 33 businesses on yelp and not a single bad review but today Verizon earned 1 star (less if it was possible). My daughter needed a new phone and I thought I'd call ahead to see if they had the phone in stock and what the price would be... not asking for rebates or fees based on our account... they refused to tell me what the retail price for a simple iphone was. So we drove to the store (this would have been the 6th or 7th phone we've purchased from this location). Candidly, it takes about 30 minutes to buy a phone here and my young daughter really needed to use the restroom. The manager told me the location does not have a restroom... All retail businesses have restrooms. I understand having a policy stating customers can not use restrooms but to lie was a bit much. I was told to have my daughter use one of the neighboring businesses restroom while I begin the phone purchase. In short the manager was unfriendly, dishonest and treated us poorly. We went to BestBuy 3 minutes away... they were kind and eager to help, had restrooms and offered us cold bottled waters while we did the paperwork. 15 minutes! read more

This store has the rudest people working for verizon . Came to pay my monthly bill and handed the sales guy the bill and a cashiers check to cover it . My account is all up to date , always paid on time and verizon has all my credit info . This guy took all the paperwork and the check to the back of the store , finally acknowledged it and started to print out a receipt . He started to ask me why I paid with a cashiers check and lectured me on paying bills the right way . I told him in a polite manner that most businesses in the industry preferred to be paid that way with the proper ID . He replied in a rude way "well , not at Verizon " , stopped printing out the receipt and handed me back the cashiers check. I told him that this was a certified CHASE bank check and why he accepted it first and then later refused it . I walked out and headed to another wireless provider and will not ever go back there !!! Verizon has gotten from bad to worse !!!! Please do visit another Verizon store where you will be treated with the respect and courtesy you deserve ! read more

When you go to this Verizon Wireless store, take the time to wait for Hector Rodriquez to help you. Hector was extremely helpful and patient as I bombarded him with questions and requests. He patiently answered all questions (from ' why does my battery drain so quickly' to 'can I get service in Costa Rica' ), and even saved me money. He was very perfessional and kind -which is very important to me. I am going back next week to buy a camera from him, that he had to call to get delivered to the store. read more

Bought new iphones a couple of weeks ago and went there to have the set up and data-transferred. I was having some problems with Verizon on line but Jay at the Glendora store was able to resolve all of the issues and ensure that all of my new phones are operating properly. He acted in professional manner when I personally was getting frustrated and made sure that everything was working properly. read more

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS STORE. Daniel Mariscalis the name of the manager I spoke to. Let me start from the beginning my mom went into store with her husband to purchase a new phone and when going was told she can get a free tablet have to pay for the second one. sounded good to her so she thought why not. My mom receives her next bill and cant understand why its so much I tell her to bring it next time she comes over so I can help her. She comes over comes to find out that she was getting charged monthly for the tablets. I call and spend about an hour and half on the phone with Chris from the 800 number very nice very helpful tells us they signed her up and there will be early termination fees. I tell him she had no idea she just told me she got one for free and 2nd for 40.00. So my mom says had i known that i would not have gotten them. SO Chris was very helpful and says if you can go in and ask to speak to the manager and explain to him what happened Ill put in notes and he should take them back no problem. Never opened or used. SO the next day we go in (im gonna try and make this as short as possible) ask to speak to the manager and we meet Daniel Mariscal the most unprofessional, rude, disrespectful YOUNG man. My mom proceeds to tell him what happened he says wait let me look and see who you spoke to. So he looks and says Daniel helped you that day. He said what? 1 free and second one for 40.00?? I don't think he said that. he asks her a few more times. in a condescending manner says He said that? So I tell him look were just here to return them we spoke to Chris and he said to speak to the manager I ask him to the read the notes and as hes reading them he smirks and chuckles and says well if it were that easy he would've sent you a box to return them. We are a store and our rules are a lilttle different. By this time i'm more upset by the way hes speaking to my mom and the lack of professionalism. He also says that he cant do anything unless he speaks to Daniel the salesman who helped my mom but he no longer works there, so well have to go back another time. So I say how is he gonna remember her its basically her word against his?Why can't you help us now were here and I had to take time out of my day to come here. He starts to talk about how she saving money on her bill I tell him thats not the point were here to return them my mom was unaware of the monthly fees and he said well shes in a contract my mom continues to say He said theres no more contracts. He says very rudely PHONES have no contracts!. Not tablets if you cancel now you'll have to pay 200 something dollars for each. He says Im off tomorrow and Friday so ill call you Saturday. I do not like the way he speaking to her I ask to speak to someone else like his manager or district manager and he straight out says..NO Ill talk to him..I said I want his number he says no. I said youre not being helpful and you're rude. he says why because Im not taking back the tablets. I say no because your laughing and smiling every time we tell you what happened and you chuckled when you read the remarks of Chris and your calling my mom a liar. He said I like to smile ...and I never called your mom a liar I said you're implying shes a liar. I told him I work in customer service and you do not talk to people the way he was. I asked about 5 more times and he told me NO for the number. Finally I said I am Demanding you give me the number are you refusing to give it to me?? he walked away came back handed me a card and said have a good day! I immediately called Verizon not to return the tablets but to report him, they were very nice and took down the complaint. I called back to speak to Caesar Rodriguez apparently he was in a meeting from what Verizon customer care said and they would also email him my info so he would call me. NOt a call back from anyone. If he would of shown a little more compassion like sorry about that or sorry about the misunderstanding and trying to help resolve the issue in a professional manner rather then questioning my 72 year old mother who was on tears after we left. I would not be so upset. reading this doesn't do justice to his sarcasm and arrogant manner. I went into Verzion several days ago and had pretty good service. But then I went in 2 days later and had the worst customer service, some how my phone lost all my contacts, not sure why but the tech guy touched it and some how lost all 257 contacts. So when it wouldn't back up on my new exchanged phone I went back and they said that there was nothing they could do and not even suggest anything to help. So I went home furious, angry, and about to cry and my dad told me to call Verzion and less than an hour later I had my contact back. BOTTOM LINE: DONT GO TO VERZION STORE, call Verzion instead they have better customer service on the phone than in person. read more

Sooo, I finally decided to walk into a store. Needed help. No greeting no nothing to start off. Im looking around and about 15 minutes later someone finally says can I help you. (employee Daniel) I give him all my info etc. He finds me in the system and I proceed to tell him what is going on with my account. He says Ill be right back. Sooo yet again 15 min or so go by. I ask for him and I am informed he just went on his 45 min lunch. Excuse me! Wow ok. I ask someone else for help, He supposedly was busy and so was the other guy behind the counter. AS far as what I can see he was staring at a few bags in front of him. Ok I'm not going to judge maybe he was getting a order together. Now I am upset. There are four employees against the back wall. two males and two females if im correct. They are all on their phones and are busy and cant help me with only one other person in the store, hmmm. Now I am on the phone with customer service. Someone comes out from the back because I changed my tone of voice at this time. I want to say his name was mike, im not 100 percent but he is a manger. I complain. He explains a few options but at this point I dont care and I have customer service on the phone. He still couldn't help even though customer service said they would speak to him he said I cant help you, Customer Service now has to help you. Yeah so wow! I will never come back to this location. I am very disappointed. I honestly switched over to Verizon because It is who my employer is contracted with. I've has so many problems with service etc. I am still resolving a phone issue from October of last year and excuse me we are what in July 2017. So again yeah! Not happy! I wont recommend verizon, I definitely do not recommend this location! Just my opinion but get it together people! They dont even deserve a one star! They try and sell you stuff you dont need. Went in to get a replacement phone. Salesman lied about a "promotion" that i was getting. So i bought a phone then decided to return it cause my friend sold me his. So i return the phone i bought a couple days ago, and the salesman tried to say i couldnt get full refund cause promotion is gone. So i got some credit on my phone account and still waiting for refund. Called corporate, they see nothing about refund. They lie to you here. Filed a dispute with my bank. To start off, I never enjoy going into any phone store at all. I went here to exchange my old phone to get a discount on the new one I was going to get. The amount of money I was supposed to get would be determined by the condition of the phone, which is completely understandable. My old phone was in really good condition, just a slight crack on the back glass. The young lady helping me said that I would only get 30$ in return instead of the 200$ that was advertised. Now I understand that she may not have any control over how the pricing works but the fact that she was so robotic and didn't even inform me of a place where I could get it fixed to be in better condition made me feel like she could care less about my business to them and that I was wasting her time. We went to Verizon yesterday to switch our family to Verizon from another carrier. We were greeted at the door and assigned to an assistant right away. Andrea was the best. She was very patient with all of our questions some of which were complicated and very specific. She was familiar with all of the products, but did not pressure us in any way.She explained everything very clearly, informed me (a new smart phone user) about upcoming informational sessions, and was able to assist with my employer discount program. This was the best experience we have had at a wireless store. My only suggestions for the store is to have some seating at the counters, we were there several hours taking care of everything and I did get tired of standing. There are a few benches, but not near the counters. read more

Dear Ms. Martin, I have been a Verizon customer for many years and have had to visit your location in Glendora on several occasions. Yesterday I brought my new Galaxy 7 in for assistance, as I formerly had an Iphone and needed quite a bit of help. Not to mention I brought in a wireless radio (an Altec Lansing radio) to pare with my phone, erase everything off my old phone and he helped me with many other things I could not figure out on my own. I just wanted to let Verizon know that you have a very valuable associate named Jonathan Kaufman. He was a tremendous help in so many ways and spent quite a bit of time with me even when I transferred photos to my home computer since we were unable to move them to the new phone. He was courteous, knowledgeable, extremely patient and overall a pleasure to work with. I hope you recognize his many positive customer service attributes, as many associates just want to do the minimal work and get you to leave. I previously went to the GO Wireless store in La Verne and they were going to charge me for moving my contacts over, until I threatened to write a letter to corporate. Now of course if I had bought my phone there they would have hopefully bent over backwards to help me, but Sams Club had a better deal. I understand they are an independent store, but regardless of where I bought my phone, I still kept Verizon as my provider and would assume ALL Verizon stores, independent or not, would give me the same great service like the service I received from Mr. Kaufman. Thanks again Mr. Kaufman for such wonderful customer service, Verizon is lucky to have you representing Verizon in a positive way verses how I was treated in La Verne, quite poorly. read more

Wish I could give zero stars!!!!! They give you tons of technicalities on why they can't help you out with an issue especially when it comes to money. They always say "I can over ride something if it were this, but in your case I can't" ...... always the case! I jumped on the customer service number for Verizon and they not only helped me they let me keep The brand new phone I wanted to return and get a new one and did not charge me for either because of the crap this store gave me. Seriously that's what happened I was shocked. All they did was charge me taxes. And this store said "oh customer service line won't help you either" they just don't care about you in the store. All my customer service will be through the Verizon service line from now on. I will stick with AT&T after being treated like that. I went into this store on the advisement of Verizon customer support. We were going to transfer 6 lines from at&t to Verizon but not all parties are present and some are in other states. Customer service advised us to go into a verizon store to get the cards otherwise we would wait for mail. None of us could go without service for that long. The man that "helped" me refused to help me unless I would give my social sec number. I explained what Verizon customer service told me and then he told me he would open the account. It sucks that their sales people are commission based and are willing to screw people over. read more

I'm seeing that a few other people have mentioned Michael Pham. There's a reason for this. Verizon can be especially frustrating to deal with but it makes a world of difference when you're helped by someone who knows their stuff. If you go to this store, make sure you ask for Michael. He's super laid back and was able to accomplish in ten minutes what workers at the store in Azusa weren't able to do on several tries. The easiest Verizon experience I've had and he actually made interesting conversation not just the usual "how's your day". read more

This is probably the second review I have ever written on yelp, and let me tell you.. it's not a good one! I was told my phone had water damage just in a matter of seconds. It was so bizarre that my phone all of sudden was not working, but I did believe something was wrong. So to my advantage I was due for my upgrade which is great because I wanted to get the 5s. I was aggressively pushed to buy the 5c because I was getting it for free, they were in stock, blah blah. I really was hesitant because why would I want an "economical" apple phone for free when I was due for my upgrade? I would rather pay a little more to get a better phone with better capabilities. Anyway, I tried it. I know I had 14 days to return it. So fool me once, shame on you! Phone sucked. My 4s was way better and faster. Yes, there are some new things, but it was was way slower. I took it back after 3 days of trying it out. I went to return it and even the manager was trying to convince to stick with it!! What the heck? Don't question my return. My agreement is valid for 14 days to return or exchange. Don't hassle me please. I even had to explain to them why I wanted the 5s. Now, I'm not sure if Verizon or Apple gives them incentives to sell the 5c, but that was obvious. The point of this rating is to give others who are trying to get service here to really consider another place. I should have gone to Target or Best Buy. read more

We came in with 3 iPhones that needed activating and old phones with info that needed to be transferred. Ashley took two hours to get two phones' info mixed and one phone with only photos transferred, zero contact info! She also disappeared for a while and when we asked a manager what the status on our phones was, she went to look for Ashley, didn't find her, and then went back to her spot at the front of the store. She never told us Ashley was AWOL. I had to ask a second time to find out. When Ashely returned from her sabbatical, she said just to go home and try to finish it ourselves. Info we could've used before wasting 2 hours. We came back the next day to fix the phones with the swapped info and Jesus acts like he's doing us a favor, saying we're lucky they even transferred our photos. After another 1 1/2 hours we finally left with decent enough info transferred. Pretty sure hell is filled with Verizon customer service reps, one of which is named Jesus, oddly enough. Don't come here unless you have hours to kill and the patience of a saint. There was one lady who helped us a month or so ago--her name was Casey (or Candice?). We haven't seen her at Verizon lately. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!! This is the worst Verizon store I've ever been to. I upgraded my phone last month on the 2 year upgrade mark (like usual) and after I did so, I now have another line on my bill that I didn't authorize. Or so I thought, I'm being told I signed for it ( I absolutely did NOT!!!) now I'm being billed for another line that I never authorized and never received a phone for. Verizon still hasn't made things right, and I'm still being billed for it. Here's a kicker; I went in and tried to get the problem solved, and was told to pay the current balance and I would be credited next billing cycle. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN!!! And to top it off, I'm still being charged for the random phone line. This place is very shady and I will never go back. I'm currently trying to resolve this, buy keep being bounced around. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. I'd even recommend switching phone companies, as I will be after this is finally resolved (if that ever happens.) Side note: I've been with Verizon since the year 2000, when they started... That's how they treat their loyal customers. The employee that caused all this, is named Willy, he's about 25-28 year black guy. do your self a favor and stay away from this guy, for all I know, he's stealing phones and selling them on the side. My husband and I purchased 2 Droids and one regular phone just before Christmas. Our sales person was nice and accomodating. That part went fine. We also purchased a bunch of accessories like protectors, car charges... I love my Droid, however the ultra cute, pink, rubber protector I purchased for it damaged the keyboard part of the phone. There is a little lip on the side of the protector that grabbed onto the "del" button (when I slid the keyboard open) and partially ripped it off. I took the phone back to the store and they told me I could not return the phone for a new one because it was damaged. Point of the story: The Verizon product I bought to protect the phone, damaged it. And the store will not give me a new one. That's not fair. Not even the insurance I bought for it counts for anything. The only option given to me was to have a "certified like new" used phone sent to me for a replacement. No, I want a brand new phone. Sorry. I called the store one more time on my way home to talk to the manager who was unavailable. The young man who answered the phone told me to call the customer care number and tell them my story becasue they have more authority than the store and they can make acceptions. 1 star and that's being nice. What a horrible experience with a horrible employee named John. As a women if u want to be disrespected see John. I'll make this a quick version. I just switched from AT&T to Verizon 6 days ago. Went in to give them some paperwork and I unfortunately dealt with John. My husband and him were having a convo about guns. John starts scrolling thru pictures in his phone (which his phone is laid flat on the table in front of us ) and all my husband and I could see were pictures of a half naked female in a thong. My husband gives me a weird looks and says what the hell. John nonchalantly says that's my sancha. He finally finds a picture of a paper target that he shot and shows it to my husband. John walks away and my husband says to me damn I thought that was your phone. John comes back. Ok whatever not very professional but no big deal. Then John proceeds to answer an incoming call from "Annamarie (name started with an A just can't remember what exactly it was) neighbor new" but leaves his phone on the table and answers it on speaker. The girl is complaining about her car breaking down and John just decides to converse with her instead of doing his job which is customer service. John then proceeds to tell her here let me get u a second opinion and hands the phone to my husband and walks away saying that was his girl or sancha (i was so livid I can't remember exactly what he called the girl on the phone) giggling and smirking. Wtf??? What professional person would ever think to do that??? Your not my friend or my husbands friend John. We don't know u from Adam. I was so upset that I walked out of that store but not before telling John how UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL he was. Called the store when I got home to ask for a number or address to file a complaint. Was given the number to Fernando who is the district manager for Verizon. I promise this is not over. I don't know how to convey just how horrible this store is. Undercover Boss should do a reality show here. I made a terrible mistake by switching carriers to this carnival freak show and its costing me dearly. The five times I have tried to go and ask someone with any useful knowledge about my bill (was $100 a month now over $250!) I walked through the door and was instantly approached by an "employee" holding a tablet wanting to know my reason for visiting the store. Before I could finish explaining my reason (obviously not a commission customer) I was told to wait. My recent visit was the worst due to the couldn't care less attitude by the employee helping me. She was not helpful and rude. In the end she never answered my questions and when I asked what it would cost me to just get out of my contract she said I didn't have a contract but I would have to pay for my phone. MY PHONE WAS ALREADY PAID FOR TWO YEARS AGO. Apparently she didn't understand what I was saying and it only went downhill from there. Verizon is negligent by not properly training their employees. There is no excuse for rude employees. If you are thinking of switching carriers DON'T and if you are stuck like me for two more horrible years I am truly sorry. read more

I was a customer of this store for over ten years. The service has never been great, but, but it was pretty consistent and reliable. My last visit was this past Sunday. My ip6 has been getting progressively worse over the past month and I had a moment to attempt some resolve so I went in around 415. I was immediately greeted by a young lady who initially seemed eager to please. After explaining my issues the tone of the conversation changed. The young lady became very arrogantly confident in the assumption that I was the problem, not the phone. The following four or five minutes involved a lot of teeth sucking and a great effort to prove the initial assumption, all the while experiencing the same glitching and seizing I was there for. After a solution was unable to be found I was instructed to go to a Apple Store. "Well thats 40 minutes away and I bought my phone here" was my response. I was informed that the problem "was apples, not ours". The wait at Apple for a walk in was 5.5 hours today. I drove the hour plus round trip to find that out. I arrived at 11:15 and went back to my shop after checking in. At 538 I received a text that they were ready to see me. I will be contacting verizon customer service to see if they are interested in helping. read more
