SCAM! We were required to keep our line for at least a year to change my phone. Ok, done. Requested a phone change, gave my other phone in return. These we're the only conditions presented to us: 1 - have the line for a year, 2 - give your old phone. Fair, right? I wish! A few months later, a cheaper phone plan was offered to us by a competitor, and we took it - because we were paying ridiculous monthly premiums with Verizon. Then, a month later, Verizon charges us $735 OUT OF NOWHERE!!!! No emails, no letter, no notifications, no warnings!!! And when we call to ask questions/complain, they say "it is what it is". Because apparently we were supposed to stay with the line for ANOTHER THREE YEARS after getting the new phone. Condition that was NEVER even mentioned to us. So they're basically making us pay 2 phones (the old one + this ridiculous charge) for 1 phone change because we cancelled our plan. Nothing but a huge scam! Be careful with this company and never change your phones with them or they'll request your kidney in return with no warning. read more

I will never do business with Verizon, the store manager at 7835 North MacArthur Irving Texas 75063, is a criminal. I shouldn't have to call 35 times to request my refund back. The store manager sold me a jack-up iPhone 14 that didn't have a sim number, plus he put me on a payment plan after I paid $974.24 from my banking account. The manager also adds other service plans to my account without my permission. I visit three Verizon stores for a refund only to be told to UPS my phone back for a refund. This matter should have been resolved in the store. I still need to be paid back my REFUND. This was a terrible experience for me. NO! PHONE NO! REFUND, this should be a crime. read more

I had some business in Irving recently, and I stopped by this Verizon store to take care of a couple of issues. A representative came over and offered to help, but in the end, it just felt like he was trying to get rid of me. For both issues I had, he recommended I call the 800 number because they could take care of it. He wasn't necessarily dismissive or disrespectful, but it definitely felt like doing those things in the store were not worth his time. I left without much argument because I could tell the customer service was not going to improve from that point forward, especially if I insisted. I did not have the energy to deal with that on this particular day... A couple days later, I went to the Verizon store near where I live (the Plano location near 75 & PGBT) with the same two issues, and my experience was completely different (I upped it to 5 stars, in fact). My extremely positive experience there was in such contrast to this Valley Ranch location that I felt I needed to drop this store down to 1 star. Additionally, the store in Plano was extremely busy, and I got excellent customer service. When I visited the store in Valley Ranch, there was ONE other customer there and several employees standing around the counter talking. Now that's fine when there's nothing else to do (hell, that's how you get through the day sometimes...relaxing during a down time), but when a customer walks in with issues that CAN be taken care of in-store and there are several employees not helping other customers, the customer service received should NOT be "call the 800 number, they can help you out." I am very aware that issues with phones or accounts (or any business) can be taken care of with an 800 number...sometimes I choose to go to a store to talk directly to a person. If the advice I get from the store is to call the 800 number, why does the store even exist? I have received good customer service at this location previously, that's why I went there again...this needs to be addressed, as it puts a bad light on Verizon as a whole. read more

The last time I went in was to buy another $1000 phone and I just wanted to see what the color looked like in person before I picked it out. A man named Trey/Trae told me I was not allowed to look at the phones before purchase and I would have to look at them online if I wanted to see anything. I have been a Verizon customer for a long time and am blown away by the audacity of this guy who then had the nerve to tell me to come back and see him specifically when I figured out what I needed. BEWARE of shady sales practices: After my recent upgrade on Friday October 24th, I was lied to by sales associate MARK when he told me I would receive an "Instant $200 off the purchase of my new phone with the trade in of a current Samsung, which would mean $99 for the phone plus the activation fee = $157 with tax." What MARK neglected to say was "Since you're ordering a phone that's not in stock, you won't actually get $200 back, we at Verizon Wireless are going to keep your extra $200 and either let you buy MORE Verizon products or apply it to your bill. This means we'll charge you $357 and retain your extra $200". Without informing me that I could stop in within the next week to pick up the phone and avoid being charged an extra $200... but that major detail must have slipped his mind. Instead I was forced to either pay my bill two weeks early or buy $200 in merchandise. I've reported this location to the Better Business Bureau, sending a formal complaint to their Headquarters in NJ. Also dropped this gleaming review off at Google + and here at Yelp. The general customer service with whom I spoke to last evening, was extremely nice, apologetic on the behalf of MARK and his team members at the store. I'll attempt to reach the store one last time, but if they are unwilling to reverse what has been done, its an affirmation for this one star review. This unethical, conniving style of what looks to be commission-safeguarding is something I never expected to encounter with Verizon Wireless and is the reason we will be taking our business to another provider. read more

It was a horrible experience visiting Verizon store today. I wanted to check about BOGO offer to upgrade my phone and also add 2 Apple Watch lines. Store staff had a really bad attitude and rather than trying to help a loyal customer who has been with Verizon for close to 10 years now, they started with all negatives like we can't do this and we will not do that as if they are doing a favor to me. I had a call with Verizon rep and she explained me the offers but she was not able to do trade-in over the call and suggested to visit a store for help but my experience was totally opposite. my girlfriend and i purchased a orbit hotspot and during purchase the worker decided to put his number instead of mine in my new verizon account which in turn led to me never being told what my account pin is. which led to months of unpaid bills because they charge us over and over and we can't cancel it because we never got the pin for our account and when we call to get it canceled it always asks for a pin. workers say they can't change my account pin which means there's nothing to do but let my credit go to shit because i cannot cancel my own fucking subscription to a device i already paid off and never even fucking used. -10/10 read more

I asked him to put a new screen protector on because mine broke for no reason. They really push those products, but honestly... use amazon for that shit. Went in to learn a feature on my phone. man came out from back room, took my phone from me and started walking away. I requested my phone back. he had long dirty finger nails, was rude and did not take time to listen to my needs. I waited until a lady was available and had she was grear in meeting my request. He stood by and when i was redirected back to him, I advised that i chose not to have his aid, that i felt he did not listen to my request. he became rude yelling that I wasn't listening to him, he was hostile and physically aggressive, so much so that employees had to hold him back from attacking towards me. I went back next day and spoke with manager. It has been over 10 days since incident, made several calls to have issue of hostile employee issue resolved and the manager has not done anything. read more

In my experience, Verizon's coverage is the best in Dallas. No dropped calls, strong data connectivity pretty much everywhere. My experience at the Irving store on MacArthur has been the opposite. Prepare to wait a while when going in, even when there are few customers. The staff reminds me of DMV workers. Slow and not at all interested in providing good customer service. When you do finally get served, it's more about up selling you on over priced extras (phone covers, screen protectors, etc) than helping you. If I could find an alternative with equal coverage, I would switch providers just to not have to deal with the staff. read more

I usually loathe going into Verizon to get anything checked out, because I have only had negative experiences. We lived in valley ranch for close to 10 years now and went to that store many times in the past, but I think this bad service is a recent change. May be new bad manager hiring reps like himself. They didn't offer any information on their own. It was like interrogation, us asking them questions and them reluctantly answering. When the phones we wanted were not in stock, they didn't offer to get them shipped or check if other stores in Dallas had them. Nothing. They just said they didn't have those at this store. Finally when we got the phones shipped to our house and took them to the store to get stuff transferred to new phones, they were downright insulting. They suggested apps that we could use or transfer them somehow, but didn't once say, we will help you. On top of that they were saying even a 5 year old should be able to do that. I went to the store at n MAcarthur for device. The manager Stephen is told me over the phone that they do not have any Note5 in stock and will have to order online, which I was ok for, but when I went to store, suddenly he finds one. So, did you lie on phone? He was free but he did not log in to system and help me, as according to him he does not have codes to use the system. After a long wait I got a rep Bernado who was very rude and has a attitude like people are stealing the phones. Common man.. we are paying for the device and not from your pocket. He didnt even ask for accessories after phone is purchased, no greetings, nothing. I was the one who was talking to him, but he was not budging. Even when I was paying for the phone, I wanted to pay it with Apple Pay (it is my choice how I want to pay), but they were not ready to try for it, saying that it wont work. Hey everyone sorry for the long rant but just as an FYI... if you hear a Verizon commercial saying they have total mobile protection take it with a grain of salt. Their truth in advertising leaves much to be desired. Your total mobile protection plan and repair in your home/office is only as good as your zip code. The 4th largest state of Florida only has 5 repair zip codes...all below the Broward County Line. If you have a Samsung Galaxy 7 they will refuse to repair it and only offer a replacement if you live outside a zip code they don't service. Now in Texas they have a few more...we are bigger but they can't repair on site the front and back screen. That requires a replacement phone, that they are going to charge you $149 to replace that will be but back into circulation once you send it back to them and they repair it, but please note the screen repairs are 1/3 of the cost. I would recommend anyone who has a Costco near them to go to them first and purchase your device and insurance from them. You will still pay Verizon for your device monthly but the insurance company they have is cheaper and a lower deductible. Lesson learned for me. Asurion insurance is horrible and do not use it if you have an alternative. Verizon was zero help and I have purchased my last device from them and will be looking into moving my wireless service. read more
