This was a nice park for our kids. Nothing too fancy, swings, slides, picnic area, etc.

Is Navajo County and city of Show Low trying to live up to India's disgusting and nasty cleanliness…read morestandards? There is a toxic mold issue and more at the Show Low Aquatic Center. End of summer 2023, I started making email complaints to the city manager Moron Brown. Again within the last few weeks I sent him more emails about the rust, peeling possible LEAD paint and TOXIC MOLD in the women's shower room. Once again Moron Brown is dismissing my complaints of toxic mold that has not been properly remediated. He insists the property was thoroughly cleaned and is being properly maintained and is acting as if I'm the problem. Well I have pictures as proof and a doctor diagnosed mold allergies. Excessive toxic mold that is not been properly remediated by a certified mold technician, broken tiles, 5 inch strands of CRAP hanging from the ceiling where there's a layer of filth and rust on the ductwork and vents.. IS NOT THOUGHLY CLEANED AND OR PROPERLY CLEANED. IF NUT ALLERGIES HAVE TO BE DISCLOSED THEN WHY NOT TOXIC MOLD? Moron Brown says there are over 2,000 people a month that use the Show Low Aquatic Center. I know damn well I'm not the only one that has mold allergies. I've seen a woman in the pool with a breathing apparatus. There are a lot of senior citizens like myself that have breathing issues. Mold Removal and Treatment Water and mold damaged in kitchen cabinet. Mold becomes a problem inside a home or business when there's excessive humidity or moisture for an extended period of time. The problem can originate from sudden water releases, like a burst pipe or large spill that goes untreated, or from a chronic condition, such as a leaking roof or plumbing. Even high humidity or warm, moist air condensing on cool surfaces can trigger mold problems. It's always best to have the mold evaluated and removed by a certified professional. Mold can grow almost anywhere in a home or business if conditions permit. If there is visible growth on painted wall surfaces, property owners should be concerned about what may be growing on the wall's opposite side. The environment inside the walls of a house often differs drastically from the outside and could create a perfect haven for mold. If the wall remains wet for a prolonged period, it's almost guaranteed that the mold growth on the back side will be worse than on the front. At that point, containing the work space and removing moldy materials, followed by cleaning of salvageable framing, are the best options. Mold can be seen and smelled. Be alert to the colors as mold can be any color including white, orange, pink, green, purple, brown, or black. Mold usually has a musty or earthy odor. Why Mold Removal is Critical for Your Health and Well Being Mold is airborne and the most common cause of respiratory problems. Symptoms include headache, allergic reaction, runny nose, and skin rash. In extreme cases, mold can lead to fungal growth in the lungs, asthma, internal bleeding and, very rarely, death. Those most "at risk" to mold exposure include: children, elderly, immune-suppressed individuals, recent surgery patients, and people with chronic inflammatory lung diseases such as asthma, hypersensitivity pneumonitism and severe allergies. Among the most common molds found during testing in Arizona properties exhibiting signs of Mold include: Alternaria Basidiospores Chaetomium Cladosporium Penicillium/Aspergillus-like Stachybotrys Show Low City manager Morgan Brown MOLD, BROKEN TILES, FILTHY EXPOSED DUCT WORK AND CEILINGS WITH RUST AND PEELING PAINT IS NOT PROPERLY MAINTAINED. OH YOU BETTER HOPE THAT PEELING PAINT DOES NOT HAVE LEAD IN IT. Oh and let's not FORGET ABOUT IT.. the hot tub turn on switch that has four CORNERS of the metal electrical box exposed. Moron seems to think that's to CODE well let's go look at it. I do not believe for a minute that he would allow that in his bathroom. No big deal that children line up for the slide.. right next to the exposed metal box hot tub turn on switch. If you think that's okay you're a moron too. https://youtu.be/k6hNcob41EA?si=7DIjuUcAX8muqXIB

What a cool park!…read more We have a lifetime parks pass, so it's been great to be able to explore when we can. We spent about 1/2 day here - drove to many of the overlooks for some very cool views. Followed someone recommendation to hike the Blue Mesa and truly felt like we were walking on the moon. Very cool colors and petrified logs lying around. It's about a mile; so quite a short hike but you are 'up close and personal' with nature. Take the time to walk thru the museum at the Inn (there's also clean restrooms here and an ice cream shop). They've done a great job preserving the original furniture and such. The parking lots at many of the stops had several spots for RV's and could accommodate towing as well. Clean restrooms thru out the park too A tip would be to hike in the morning as the afternoons can get pretty toasty and windy

I am a big fan of national parks and am also a big fan of keeping them fully budgeted and staffed…read more If you have ever been to a national park, you know that they get a ton of visitors from other countries. These foreign folks love our national parks for good reason. Americans should also appreciate them. Now, this is probably not one of the "must do" national parks. It is not a Yosemite or a Yellowstone. There is no camping here and much of the park is entirely experienced by driving around in your car. There are a few hiking spots, some better than others. There are two entrances and there is only one road between them. It is impossible to get lost, although there are a few turnoffs. You drive from one entrance to the other and then you are done. Apparently, some people drive through the park, never leave their car, and spend about an hour in total here. It seems crazy to me to visit a national park in one hour and I do not recommend it. Do one or more of the hikes. Get out and experience a few of the overlooks. The Blue Mesa portion of the park is incredible. That was probably the highlight of the park for me. The color of the hills is just surreal. It is like you landed on Mars. You will, of course, see petrified (or "fossilized") wood here. It is multi-colored beautiful stuff. The visitor center on the north end is much better than the one at the south end. There is a cafe at the north visitor center, better souvenirs, and also the Painted Desert Inn where you can experience a bit of history from about a 100 years ago. Spend some time here whether you are just entering the park or leaving it. I would plan on spending about three or four hours here, especially if you do at least one good hike and stop at most of the overlooks. If you did all the hikes and all the overlooks and bring a lunch (there are no picnic or lunch areas, by the way), you could probably spend the entire day here. Half a day, including one long hike, was fine for us and I feel like we saw all of the highlights. I hate to give any area of land less than 5 stars through no fault of its own but this is not one of the more spectacular national parks in the country. But if you are in the area, it is worth a visit.
