I have a situation with a claim and,…read morehave called the office several times and have been referred to a useless licensed rep every time whom I have left several messages for over the last 30 days and never heard back. I also had the receptionist send an email to the owner in hopes that he would intervene, but he is nowhere to be found. After getting the runaround for almost 2 months on a hail claim to American Family, I called my agent on October 10, whom I paid $7,000 for insurance just 5 days prior, to help. The receptionist said that I would get a call from the licensed rep later that day, which never happened. The following day I stopped in the office, described what was going on to the receptionist, and again she told me that I would get a call from the licensed rep. Never got the call. I called again 6 days later and told the receptionist to have the licensed rep call me, and also requested an email go to the owner about my claim with American Family. I called again on October 24 and spoke with the receptionist and asked for her or the licensed agent to review my policy, as the policy said that my damages were covered which American Family said they were not. It is now 30 days after the initial call for help from this agency, and I have yet to get a call from the licensed rep or owner. My next correspondence will be to the Better Business Bureau and to the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. Useless agency; do not use this unprofessional insurance agency.

I don't remember that conversation because I was dealing with planning my father services, I lived in another state I had been traveling back-and-forth, etc. They sent me to collections because I did not pay that if I had been told I would've paid for that over the phone right then. Their communication is terrible. They are not nice people they are rude on the phone. You can never reach them. Once the electronic transfer of my policies (home, auto and umbrella) was complete, I sent an email to Ms. Parker letting her know that I was interested in making some coverage changes. She responded promptly by phone. She asked questions, listened carefully, and had already come prepared to our initial conversation with some ideas based on my email communication. She was patient in explaining my options and the reasons for her recommendations (vs. other possible options). By the end of our phone conversation, I had what I needed. All that remained was for me to DocuSign an Acknowledgment of Coverage, which arrived in my email Inbox right after our phone conversation ended. I called Steve after my sister, who has a learning disability, relayed to me that Steve wasn't willing to email her a quote. I thought that was strange, even though we understood that the quote could change depending on how long it took for us to decide on a new carrier. Apparently he is the owner of this company and it doesn't make sense to me that he would not be helpful when we were trying to buy insurance from him.
