I've been here several times on visits to the city, this is always a good choice. The garlic soup was delicious, although as you might expect, you need to really like garlic. Service is very friendly and there's English on the menu. It's a large enough restaurant that I can visit without a reservation and be pretty confident they can take me. Prices are fine for the city, although the listing here should really be "$$."

We felt pampered all week. The on-site courtyard is the place to be on a pleasant evening and the house -made beers are great in a country known for great beers. As others have noted, it's in the suburbs and it will require you to hire a car to go into the town center or to nearby sites like Stramberk. Let the desk call a top-notch car service for you. If you're going to Ostrava, this is the only place to stay.

Wonderful hospitality with amazing deep history which Daniel the bartender is very knowledgable on. Extreme attention to detail and great use of amazing true crystal vintage glassware. The bar itself only has four seats which is highly recommended if you have the opportunity.
