I want to share my experience with Alex Centrella, a photographer who claims to be an award-winning…read moreprofessional with over 40 years of experience on various online platforms. I am a real estate professional based in Los Angeles and needed a photographer for my new listing in Fresno. I searched online, found Alex, and his reviews seemed decent enough to reach out. I hired him for a commercial property shoot, and the experience was very disappointing. He initially quoted $350 over the phone, then raised the price to $750 after seeing the property, which I agreed to without hesitation. I drove from Los Angeles to Fresno on the day of the shoot, and after he finished, I paid him cash upfront before he delivered any files. The next morning Alex called to say the photos were ready and wanted to come to my hotel room to show them to me, but I was already driving back to Los Angeles. He uploaded the photos and video to his personal website and social media before providing them to me, which made me very uncomfortable since the property had not yet been marketed and I did not want it publicly displayed without my approval. Communication was also unprofessional. He called and texted at 6 a.m. asking if I liked the photos even though I still hadn't received anything. He kept making excuses about the file size and why the link hadn't arrived. I ended up creating a shared Google Drive folder and walking him through how to upload the files just so I could receive them. The quality of the work was very poor. He delivered roughly 30 photos, and only about 10 were usable. He also promised night shots but never returned to take them. Instead, he edited a daytime photo to look like a night shot. When I emailed Alex and told him I was not impressed with the work and asked if he could go back and take new aerial shots, he became defensive and started threatening legal action. I paid $760 in cash and even took him to lunch, but the final product and overall professionalism did not come close to justifying the cost. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Alex Centrella as a photographer.

1 star -- Loyal customers, deeply let down…read more We've used Pamela Lee Photography for 3-4 years of Christmas photos, spent over $1,000, and referred clients to her. So when we booked her for our newborn session, we trusted her completely. It was a disaster. The setup wasn't ready, the staging wasn't safe or appropriate for a newborn, and at one point our baby was placed in a position that felt genuinely unsafe. Backdrops looked unprofessional. Photos came back blurry. One usable family shot out of a $725 session. We told her we were unhappy. She volunteered to reshoot at our home -- then on the day, sprang a surprise $425 charge and a time limit that had never been mentioned. Telling detail: she never asked for our address. We hadn't requested a home shoot; she offered it. Years of loyalty, one of the most important shoots of our lives, and this is how it ended. We won't be back.
