From the moment I started chatting with T and Paul, I knew that this was going to be something special. So many details (winery planning, transportation, etc) that I didn't even have to worry about it, T and her team worked everything out for us and rolled it into one amazing day. We started our tour with T performing a sabrage followed up with a champagne toast. I mean come on, how amazing is this?! Ive only seen this done on tv but to see it in person, a whole new level of experience. From there we headed to Carneros to enjoy pinot noir at Donum Winery followed by Saintsbury. I can't begin to tell you how amazing the wines were but also the knowledge and hospitality by each of our hosts. While the tour was going on, our host and driver, the super friendly and knowledgeable Jason, was busy taking photos with his DSLR so we didn't have to worry about missing a moment. Inside the Mercedes limo van was super posh, leather seats, lighting, water, snacks, etc. I mean, it doesn't get much more comfortable than this. A few places were suggested for lunch, but remember this is a custom curated tour. So we made the choice to visit Addendum for their famous AdHoc fried chicken. This also allowed us leisure time to enjoy the beautiful rainy day under the pines at the picnic area at Addendum. Feasting on some of the best fried chicken under the trees was so romantic. Finally our last stop was Amizetta to enjoy their famous cabs. What a way to end the day, the view from on top of the mountain was one of the best Ive seen in the valley. We also had the pleasure to enjoy our tasting in their mountain side cave. See the progression of our day of tasting. We started out with lighter to medium pinots then ending with some huge cabs. This is one of the many reasons why Verve is one of the best tour companies in wine country, they really do think of every aspect of the day. We had a fantastic experience with Verve for my husbands 50th birthday. It was a last minute trip to Napa and Rob was super responsive and efficient at getting our day scheduled. He selected 3 very different wineries for us to visit and they were all really spectacular in their own way. We asked for off the beaten path, boutique wineries that were low key and laid back. Our group traveled from Louisiana to San Francisco where we explored the city, had a wonderful tour and found some great restaurants before traveling via a very comfortable "limo coach" complete with cold drinks and snacks before we arrived at Reyes Point Dairy. There we got to Reyes Point Dairy, a bay calf had just been born as we got to see the working areas. We had a wonderful Spread of their cheeses with wine and a delicious lunch. We traveled on the the Archer Hotel in Napa which she was lovely, comfortable and served great breakfasts. Our tours of small vineyards with wonderful, cheese, lunches and dinner was an absolutely great experience. I was invited to a media tour of wine country hosted by Verve Napa Valley (one of the fabulous perks of my job). We were treated to a truly VIP experience that we won't soon forget. Our tour began at Oxbow Public Market. We hopped on board the Verve "buggy" which is essentially a swank living room on wheels with a fully equipped beverage/snack bar, sound system, comfy seating, and large windows for sightseeing. Our first stop was at the newly refurbished Inn on Randolph - a charming Bed & Breakfast with 10 inviting rooms and a 5-star Yelp rating. If you're planning a romantic weekend getaway, this would be the place to book. We then ventured to a picturesque Oakville estate owned by the founders of Tamber Bey Vineyards. Barry (the affable owner) gave us a small tour of the property, and then we sat outside for a lovely, gluten-free lunch (catered by Cate & Co.) paired with Tamber Bey's finest vinos. What a treat! It doesn't get more "wine country" than this! Our next stop was Kelham Vineyards & Winery near St. Helena. Beautiful gardens and scenery as far as the eye can see. Plus, the owner has a small shop where she showcases/sells unique pillows and merchandise made out Hermes scarves (no joke). Needless to say, this is more geared towards women than men. After the tour, we were given a small wine tasting in their living room. And when I say living room, I mean living room. We were literally inside their home, sipping wine like out-of-town house guests. Our final stop of the day was at Jericho Canyon Vineyards in Calistoga. Talk about off the beaten path! We walked among the grapevines and learned about the family history. Afterward, we were treated to a private tasting in their wine cave. Their Sauvignon Blanc (with strong hints of grapefruit) was the stand-out wine. Can't wait to drink it again with dinner! All in all, this was a fantastic tour of Napa Valley. This past weekend I was lucky enough to experience a VIP Verve wine tour thanks to the very kind folks at Yelp! Four days later and I am already plotting ways to return. From initial planning to execution on the day of, everything was flawless. Furthermore, Verve's founder, T, and their bubbly event planer, Ashley, were wonderful hosts for the day. Not only were they incredibly knowledgeable, but also clearly had deep connections with many wineries, restaurants, and art galleries in Napa, allowing us to have a completely VIP, behind the scenes tour! Our first stop was the French Laundry Gardens for a champagne sabre! What is a champagne sabre you might ask? When you take a SWORD (yes, a sword), and slice open a bottle of champagne. A very handy party-trick I must say. From there, we headed to the private home of the owner of Tamber Bay Winery. And wow, what a magical way to start the day. Not only were there some precious, excited pups waiting to greet us, but Barry himself, who was an incredibly knowledgeable and gracious host. His home and surrounding vineyards were beyond beautiful and inspired a little country-envy in us all. After an initial glass of wine while we surveyed his vineyards, we sat down for a full winetasting in his magical backyard. Complete with a rustic wooden dining table, manicured lawns, and a pool fit for Versailles, I felt like I was in a movie, or some sort of magical Napa princess. This certainly was not your average Napa experience and it would not have been possible without T and her team's insider connections. After our magical hour with Barry, we continued down the road to the less fairy-princess inspiring, but charming and overflowing in organic beauty (ie- large piles of compost), Tres Sabores. While this was perhaps less my style than the first stop, our host was extremely welcoming and we enjoyed a great lunch under her trees overlooking the vineyard. She also has two golden retrievers which is a huge perk in my book. After a quick stop at a small art gallery and tasting room, we continued onto Round Pond for a quick sip of wine and an olive oil tasting to finish the day. Although this was the closest we got to "your typical wine-tasting", the property was absolutely beautiful and after a quick rooftop photo-op, we were whisked away in the back of an old-school red pick-up truck around the property. By far, best surprise of the day. We then enjoyed a lovely olive oil tasting in a private room lavished with cheese, meat, fruit, and bread to try it with. After a long hard day of drinking, this was certainly a good way to end. All in all, I was super impressed with Verve's detailed planning and incredible Napa connections. We had a tour arranged for us with Rob from Verve over Memorial Day, and we could not have asked for a better experience. Rob is unbelievably knowledgeable, and his perspective from having seen Napa back in its earliest days in the 1970s as well as more recently really provide for an amazingly engrossing and interesting trip with him. He would graciously go cool down the car 10-15 min before leaving each stop (as it was a sweltering 90+ degrees with sun blazing all day) and made sure we had everything we needed as the day went on. This was our 3rd trip to Wine Country that Verve had planned for us. Once for our 20th wedding anniversary, the second for a quick getaway for me, my wife and our 2 daughters and the latest for us and 9 of our closest friends, 11 in all. And for the third time in a row, we were blown away! T, Paul and Rob just make everything so easy, so amazing and so memorable. Don't even think you can put together a similar experience on your own that compares (believe me, I've tried). T has personal relationships with boutique and family owned wineries that you probably don't even know exist that help Verve do what they do best...provide their clients incredible VIP experiences. Here's a typical day with Verve: First, you step into T's luxurious Mercedes Sprinter that arrives at the front door of your hotel, loaded with snacks and beverages and are taken to destinations through the beautiful countryside. And, then, rather than being quickly herded along on a tasting or tour with people you don't even know, you're on an in depth tour of a family owned winery high on a hillside, meeting the patriarch of the family, tasting the wines, hearing the family's story and meeting his adult children who are working hands-on and learning the business. You follow that with a trip to another winery, immediately are introduced to the winemaker who is in the middle of sorting just picked grapes, who stops to chat and have lunch with you on her front porch overlooking her vineyard. Then a quick trip to a private garden, picking and eating figs and raspberries off the vine, sipping champagne, then sitting down on the patio learning about tasting and pairing cheeses, all hosted by a well-known author. Then finishing off the day with an after-hours, all access, in depth tour of an incredible winery followed by a candlelight dinner in their wine storage and aging cave. Our driver Denise showed up 10 minutes early before our pick up time and she had so much knowledge of Napa wines. Can't say enough good things about this transportation company. The owner, T, was saved me when I was planning this trip on the search of a Saber class for our group. Not only did she provide this amazing class (could go on and on about this) but then provided the most amazing transportation service for the full 2 days we were there! I've been to Napa quite a bit and this a wonderful new experience. Paul was a great tour guide and seem to know the winemakers personally. We went to wineries that you would never find on your own and were able to speak with the winemakers in person. The most memorable part of the trip was having lunch in the backyard at a winemakers house and playing catch with their dog. This was truly a unique experience that I would definitely recommend. read more

Verve It takes a lot to please this traveler. I  work closely with the hospitality industry and destination management groups. Most over-promise and under-deliver but this is certainly not the case when it comes to  T, Denise and the expert staff at Verve.  They exceed expectations! This is not your ordinary wine tour. Verve creates new and exciting experiences at every turn.  It started  early in the morning, we were met by T and Denise, who we would soon be referring to as  our friends. At our hotel, T inspired us with the history of saberage, the art of uncorking sparkling wines with a saber.  Each morning began with a champagne toast to prepare your palette for the best that Napa and Sonoma had to offer.  We had a few favorite wines that we requested to have on the tours each day and let the Verve Team round out the days with some special treats that we would never have found on our own. And not just wines...we discovered olive oils, a great  shops, artists, a distillery, and many exquisite restaurants throughout the valley.  My group was cared for by Denise as if we were her own family.  This was the first trip to Napa by most of my family. Verve turned a family trip into an experience that none of us will ever forget.   We look forward to returning this fall to introduce more family and friends to our new friends in Napa:  T, Denise, and everyone at Verve. read more

There were 7 of us on a Napa Wine Tasting Trip. We used Verve Napa Valley for a wonderful experience. Our Driver Paul was prompt , very pleasant, helpful, and most importantly a good driver.The vehicle was very comfortable. Our coordinator was Jennifer and she was lovely to deal with. They listened to our recommendations for wineries we wanted to taste and put together a great day. Keep in mind as you enjoying your day, to adhere to the schedule, so that "overtime" fees are not applied. We enjoyed our day with Verve and would use them again. read more
