When we agreed on a date/time for him to come and give an on-site quote, he actually came on time, with a sample of turf, ready to go. I appreciate that. Once I got the ok from the boss (wife), he started the job that week and I NEVER HAD TO FOLLOW UP WITH HIM. He would be calling and texting me that he had a question or suggestion due to something we didn't think about at the time. The photos are actually 2 jobs. Job #1 - Backyard - turfed area & side dirt area. This was a HUGE TASK. The area was so un-leveled that we would have pools of water sitting there after a rainy day. It was IMMENSE to backfill the dirt and get everything setup for concrete/turf. These guys made quick work of it AND kept the area tidy after the end of each day. You rarely see that sort of attention and professionalism anymore. Job#2 - Front yard - new privacy plants & clean up After seeing the work Marcos did in the back, I didn't hesitate to start work in the front. It was about 2 or 3 weeks before the boss (wife) approved more funding for the front yard, she was impressed also. Tried to upload the pictures in BEFORE/DURING/AFTER order with Nest cam photos. Why? because they failed to mow or tend to the trees and scrubs . At the time I was in poor health yet and still I've had to trim trees and scrubs and still have to pick up what is CLEARLY BLOWN trash!!! HE was angry because I didn't want his service anymore more and he kept threatening me if I left a bad yelp review, so he wrote: ( mind you this is the man that LIES about everything) ~"you. He was concerned about ICE and I told him not to worry that he could stay here awhile etc.. ~"if you post on my page ( YELP)I will take you to court for employee abuse and for making threats-because you *are* threatening me by saying that if I don't do what you want, you'll leave comments." ~Yesterday, I spent money on gas and paid a helper to fetch stone, and I gave it to you as a bonus just to make you happy. But even that wasn't enough. Reminder, HIS EMPLOYEES THREW THE OTHERS, but he was given the option, if I buy them I'll have to pay shipping, if you choose to bring them ..... you won't. ~"you. Now they come late and stay 45 minutes at most I have been I poor health lately yet and still | have to trim and pick up what is CLEARLY BLOWN trash!!! My problem is the dips that have been created and loose grass. Again, I was assured that if there was any issue, they would come out and fix it. However, Sixto, the owner keeps ignoring my requests to come check it out. He says he will come, but doesn't respond or call back when you ask when. We went with CST bc Chad was responsive, pricing was reasonable, and he had stellar reviews. I now understand why they are so good. On the day of install his crew showed up and were professional, detailed, and cleaned up after themselves. They took pride in their work and inspected every section of the artificial turf to ensure precise application. Unfortunately we had an issue with our window flare causing problems and this is where Chad really shined. He acknowledged our concerns and went above and beyond to help resolve it. Transparently I was being a bit of a Karen too when the issue happened. Despite this Chad stayed professional, understanding, and was doing everything he could to make sure we were happy. The experience humbled me and reminded me that not everyone is out to take advantage of you. There are still some really honest, kind, and reliable contractors out there. Chad is definitely at the top of this list. I really appreciated that his goal was to do right by us. I will definitely be referring, praising, and telling everyone about CST and Chad. We hired Ivan's Masonry for two jobs: driveway renovation and a new stairway with walkway. From onset it was a long journey for us figuring out what material we will be comfortable with. Ivan patiently consulted us on every available material: concrete, stamping, coloring, and many styles from different providers of concrete pavers. None really resonated with our vision. After a month of research we ended up selecting clay pavers for their traditional look and lasting quality. The problem was that no contractor in our area would even consider working with clay pavers. Initially Ivan also refused but with some prodding he actually agreed to install clay pavers and did an amazing job. The team would start consistently punctually at 7 am and worked full days. Ivan, the owner, would work on the job 100%, including operating the equipment and setting the pavers. The site was kept reasonably clean and the process was well organized. We love the results.
