I'm from out-of-town, but I visit my mother at least once a week. Out of all the salons in the area, the reviews for this shop drew me in. It was the middle of winter and I had a nail emergency. The salon tech was kind enough to take me in, late at night, near the shop's closing time. It was such a lovely experience. I actually talked my mom into getting acrylics with no-chip gel. We've been there once again. I feel comfortable visiting this salon while I'm in the area. Five stars for kindness, accommodation, skill, and professionalism. read more

I have been going here for quite awhile. Last time I was there the old guy did my pedicure. I asked him to trim the toenails short. He barely even trimmed any length off of my rt toenails Now weeks later they are significantly longer than the left foot's toenails. My left foot is not in need of pedicure but the rt foot looks way overdue. So I'm supposed to come back and pay full price for a pedicure for just one foot? I wish they would make this right. I would like to talk to the owner hoping they can speak better English than the workers. read more

Charged $55. to remove their 5 day old gel. failure. $110. later and would not even paint my nails with a clear coat. Dirty and nasty hands without wearing gloves. I've been a customer of VI Nails for a long time. I like the majority of the staff and have felt in good hands with them. It's steadily been declining in quality and service for quite some time now. I feel terrible writing this review but after yesterday I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake I did. My daughter and I went to get a pedicure and she also wanted a manicure. We weren't asked what type of pedicure we wanted, so we got the basic. Not a big deal, it's cold out, I was just looking to have a girls day with her. Upon her manicure, her nails were not cleaned, cuticles touched, lotion on hands, nada. She's 7 so most of the time at VI they have not done the whole shebang. Still I was patient and not the biggest deal. THEN...... THEN we went to check out. I was first told $70. I couldn't make that make sense in my mind. Then, the person who was checking me out went back and forth with another co-worker and the price went up to $75. Here's what I should have been charged based on what I received: $28 - standard pedicure $10 - childrens manicure $20 - Spa pedicure $5 design for her Totals: $63 AT MOST considering she didn't get $10 worth of a pedicure Won't do it again. We almost always go out of town and VI is a last resort and it was just an absolute waste of my money. Would rather go without. read more

I had one of the lady's, i asked for a fill and she took all of my nails off completel. I told her I didn't want my natural nail cut and she cut them to my nail bed which hurt my fingers. She also made my shapes very uneven. I asked for almond shape nails and she gave me half box half almond. She didn't put the nail polish on evenly. 10/10 recommend never coming here read more

Competitive pricing with 10% student discount with ID! Not the cleanest place I've been to but decorated. Quiet and relaxing when it opened at 9:30am on a Tuesday. Vi's is super chic, especially for Lincoln! The interior is really pretty, the staff is really nice and friendly. I got a pedicure, which was done with patience and very thorough and it came out beautiful! I also got the gel nails, which are awesome and again, very well done and look amazing! I just wish they had more softer hues, like a really light white/pink. Overall a wonderful place and I will certainly be back! :) :) :) read more

Don't go to VI Nails. Terrible service. I'm here visiting family in Lincoln. (I currently live in California.) I wanted a simple gel manicure, so I went in to VI Nails. I sat and waited for over an hour for a gel manicure (when they said a 30 minute wait), had a lady come in with her grand-daughter half an hour after me. They took the grand-daughter back before me. (They didn't have an appointment either.) Then I asked how much longer it would be. (And reminded them that I had already been waiting an hour.) They said another 10 minutes. That time went by and still nothing. Finally I just left. Ridiculous! Waste of an hour and a half! I've never been to a worse nail salon. If they offered me a free manicure to make up for this I wouldn't even take it because I don't want anything to do with this salon that treats people this way. read more

Been going to this place for 3 years and usually it's a pleasant experience, but today was TERRIBLE! First I had an appointment with the owner, but she had a client in the chair and suggested another tech. I told her I was willing to wait but she was going to be a while so reluctantly I sit in the other chair. What a HUGE MISTAKE! She did my nails and was annoyed at any anything I asked her to fix. One nail was longer than the other, another slanted to the left, and 2 were unevenly filed/missing gel. She finally gets up and screams at me saying that she didn't want to do my nails and should have waited on the owner. She then takes the polish and slams it on the counter. I was furious of course and had choice words for her! The owner finally takes control of the situation and fixed my nails. This is enough to never go back! I walked in they were busy which is fine, so I signed in, picked my color and sat down to wait. At this time nobody had said anything to me which like I said they were busy no big deal. So, there was one person in front of me waiting, then there was myself and two more people had walked in. About 30 minutes later they called the woman in front of me back to get started, then the first woman after me was called back while I still wasn't addressed. I continued to sit, wait and watch to see what and who would be called next thinking maybe that woman had a specific appointment or something. Trying to come up with reasons why I would be treated this way in this establishment. Then, they asked the second woman who came in AFTER me what she was needing. By this time I had been in this business for 40 minutes, not acknowledged, and completely skipped! Only once I stood up and gave her a look of disgust and to put my polish away was I acknowledged and asked what I needed. I preceded to ignore her, just as I was ignored. I figured my outburst and my story would be better and get word faster by putting it online rather than making a scene in the business. I will NEVER darken the door step to that business ever again and I will tell anyone and everyone exactly how RUDE they are!!!! It will be my mission that they will no longer succeed in this town, because they don't deserve it. If I could give them no stars I would have!
