We were on the way west and stopped here for a nice coastal walk. Parking is free and right at the start of the Paseo north of Cobaron.
Actually at the time I'm writing this the Paseo is closed. There's a fence and a sign at the start. But that didn't seem to bother anyone. And you can easily go around the fence to enter the Paseo. Everybody did. And so did we.
It was really a nice walk along the cliffs and the coast. Nice views all around and countless photo ops. There are some military batteries along the way back from the days. Also some old fishing machines and gear. Interesting stuff. But the biggest sight is the walk and the views itself. You can easily walk until La Arena and back. It's not really far and it's a flat walk.
So why is it closed? Because there was a rockslide. And the Paseo seems to be a bit unstable. The rockslide did hit the Paseo. But it's a small obstacle to overcome. You can see it on one of my pictures. That being said, it is a small but potential risk you're taking if you ignore the sign and decide to take this walk. We were aware of that and did. And had a really great time here. A wonderful walk along the beautiful coastline. The North of Spain is just breathtaking. read more
