Having a petrol station in the village is in itself a real asset, but unlike many such places, it's not unfairly priced either in terms of the fuel or the shop. When you consider that there's a Tescos Express open long hours just round the corner, the shop itself is pretty well stocked with more than just essentials plus seasonal stuff such as garden toys and BBQs in the summer. The shop is always spotlessly clean and the staff are helpful and friendly, but a really nice touch is the give a penny, take a penny pot on the counter for those annoying times when you go over by 1p when filling up your car! Great idea.

New Park Garage came up in a google search and were very understanding and professional about the situation when I phoned them prior to arrival. Upon arrival at the garage, I found the staff to be very friendly and the garage to be busy, clean and well equiped. The staff listened to what I had to say about the fault on my car and promised to sort it asap. Friday 17th, phone call during the morning informing me that it was an inexpensive job which would cost me approximately £50 and would be ready in an hour. All in all a very positive experience. Long story short - this garage tried to charge me almost £600 for work that was simply not…read morerequired. I booked my car in as I knew it needed new brake pads. After an inspection, I was told it also needed a replacement calliper and full brake fluid change. I was dubious and got a second opinion. The honest mechanic I took it to checked it over, and after two hours of poking prodding pulling etc, found absolutely nothing wrong with the calliper at all, I needed new brake pads, as I thought. There was also no requirement whatsoever for a full brake fluid change. My brakes were fixed for £75 (brand new parts) Thing is, if I had have trusted them and paid up, I would never have known any different. Since telling others about my experience I've discovered that other things have also gone on - such as damaging a lady's car during a routine service, and then when it broke down after just after leaving the garage, they passed it off as a coincidence and refused to take the blame. Don't use this garage. I've reported them to trading standards. Shocking.

I found that the ability to test drive is pretty much unlimited and encouraged to give the customer the best opinion of the choice they have. And believe me when I say: there is a lot of choice! The facility is very modern and holds a huge stock of upmarket cars. There probably isn't much held by Imperial that's under four and a half grand. All car stock is RAC tested mechanically and is valeted to great standard before handover. It gives you a great sense of quality in what you're purchasing. I'd highly recommend these guys. You pay perhaps slightly more than you would elsewhere, but service is brilliant, all cars are at a very high standard, and you will find yourself not wanting to buy elsewhere once you've visited!
