If you want to be treated with respect, DO NOT GO HERE. I have been going here for many years, and…read moreit's gotten worse and worse. Today I discovered that they DO NOT check your insurance provider to see if you have coverage. (I guess they just figure you will have to pay the entire thing out of your own pocket if not covered) They say that is YOUR responsibility to check (which I learned upon arrival). Then when I sat down and tried to call my insurance carrier, Dr. Dallmeyer stormed into the room I was in and SCREAMED "HANG THAT THING UP RIGHT NOW!" When I tried to explain to her that I was checking on my coverage she SCREAMED "THEN DON'T MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH ME UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE THAT". Don't worry, I won't ever make an appointment with you again!!!!

Long story short. I was a patient of Dr. Penird's for 9 years. Great doctor, no issues till last…read moresummer. I was charged $25 for a missed appointment. I called the office to say I had called to cancel, they said I didn't. I said I wasn't going to pay it, they insisted I was wrong and basically implied I was liar. After months of back and forth I decided to email Dr. Penird. I called the next day see why I couldn't get on the portal thinking it was a technical issue and was told they had blocked me from using the portal. I was also informed, after 9 years, I was no longer a patient and the bill went up to $70 and sent to a collection agency! In my whole 72 years nothing like this has ever happened to me. I wrote Dr. Penird a letter and mailed it to his office, hoping we could work this out. I know it was received cause I paid extra for that confirmation. I never heard back from him. Great doctor but the office is not run by him and the sad part is if they hadn't been disrespectful and so resolute that I was in the wrong we probably could have worked something out, but I will not be bullied!
