First thing the technician said was, these springs are wrong, one was a 242 and the other a 250. Said they should both be 250's. In essence the 242 is a small spring. So Banko, whether on purpose, or by accident installed the wrong springs. This is 100% what led to the premature failure of the sping. Bottom line, AVOID BANKO. I feel they do this on purpose to cause premature failure in order so you call them more often than you should. I reached out to Banko, I'm awaiting a call back from a manager.

The job was still not done and he had tightened, loosened, pounded on,T and jerryrigged so many things (including the springs) that the manager and another man came the next day and stayed 2 hours to fix the problems made by the first man. After they left, the garage door and the track were popping and cracking every time I put it up or down. I lubricated them and it seemed to get somewhat better. Two months later the door is very loud again and they sent Quick Garage repair to fix the problem. They fixed the problem that I had with the garage door screen, that runs in the same track, but said that I NEED NEW SPRINGS. The Cowtown guys, that put in my new garage door opener, had adjusted my springs when they were working on my door. Now the Quick Garage Repair guys, that were sent to fix the continuing problems, said that I need new springs and, at my request, would only adjust the springs that are there for $175+. The springs were fine when I got the new opener but they would not take responsibility to tweak the setting because it was not on the invoice, so not under warranty for repair. I could explain in more detail but it might take 3 days to read. This is the first time that I have written a negative review so believe me when I say DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

I wasn't going to wait until 9-10 pm for a tech to fix my garage door issue. Following morning I went on yelp and called Felix. He called back and asked him since I had to be at work at a certain timeframe when can he fix the issue and pricing. He gave me 2 quotes on pricing $ 150-250 for the service. I was kinda iffy about his business because he only had 2 reviews on yelp plus it was many yrs back. Felix and I spoke and he mentioned he will start his work routes with me first since I was on a time crunch. He arrived around 9am ish when the phone call was made around 8am ish. He arrived with his company truck and a partner. I told him to text me once he is done. He finished the job less than 20-30 mins. He added a work marketing sticker to my garage door opener LOL to remind myself I guess to call him for future services and perhaps reminder who fixed my issue. He mentioned he added additional fixing on my garage door but warned me my springs might be an issue in the future because the garage has been with the house since it has been built. He accepts cash, card and mobile payments. He did add tax to the final pricing which was about 10-12 dollars more. Felix did his job and was professional. A very large company was called and installed new rollers, new springs and re-aligned the tracks.This took less than 3 hours and the bill looked like they had worked for three days. This weekend, our remote would open the door but would not close it. An internet search indicated a crack in the circuit board and a neighbor gave us a number to call. What a difference... Felix Mosquea is the man. He came out right away and after a few tests, confirmed that there was a problem in the circuit board. Because the opener was over twenty years old, the options were easy to understand. He showed us how the Florida heat had pretty much baked all the inside components and advised going with a new unit. Not only did he install a newer unit with features we did not know existed, he showed us how the previous repair had contributed to the electrical failure. The springs were set at the wrong tension which contributed to the circuit failure. The board was on it's way out anyway but the incorrect tension on the new springs hastened the failure. You have to admire someone who knows his stuff. Felix is one of those folks who look at things from the customers viewpoint and has thier interests at heart. Call him first and save time, worry and money. Sometimes the best does cost less.
