I told her what we just experienced at our original RV Park reservation as we just arrived in town. She said they had spots available for the 8 nights we needed and once we arrive she will show which ones are available and we can choose the spot. This RV Park is quiet and spacious VERY well kept. They even have country store on site that has souvenirs, beer, ice cream, snacks, condiments, paper towels and more. I am so appreciative for their kind hospitality.

This is definitely a five-star motel! So why is it a five-star hotel? Because this is the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in! Especially for $39.99 a night, for both hubby and I! I think some of the bigger rooms are a little more, but still, extremely reasonable! The check in process can be done online but you will have to call with your credit card to actually guarantee the room. The lady I talked to, Tammy, was super sweet and said that if nobody stayed in the room the night before, we could check in early. When we pulled up, the place looked a little dumpy, but do NOT judge a book by its cover, people! The gentleman that checked us in was super nice and friendly and even asked how everything was when he saw us outside the room. The room was small, yes but it was very clean and I think it had been recently remodeled. There were a couple tables by the bed, and a little table to sit at to use your laptop. The heater/ac was back in the corner of the room and it didn't get back to the bathroom (also small, but super clean), but there was so much flipping hot water we didn't need it! And the tub was big; and definitely clean enough I would not have hesitated to take a bath in it. I can't say that about every hotel room. Oh and there was a ceiling fan in the room, which is a nice touch as we like to have air stirring in our room. The only bad thing was that there wasn't a lot of outlets and not a lot of room to put your bathroom stuff as there is just a sink, not a vanity. But still, that's not enough to keep me from staying there; I can adapt. And the window opened! It was nice to feel some crisp, cold fresh air! I love Houston, but I do miss the crisp fresh air of my home state of Kansas sometimes. This place is out on the middle of nowhere, but the air is so clean and fresh; and I bet it's super pretty in the spring when everything is green. So if you ever find yourself in the area, do NOT hesitate to stop here. The place is as clean as can be, the people are friendly and if you ever get a chance to try the proprietor's cake balls, do it, as they are delicious! He was telling us how he was trained as a chef and likes to cooks for the guests on holidays. I forgot to get his name, but everything smelled heavenly; I almost wished we had stayed another night! This may not have all the amenities of a lot of hotels, but if you're looking for a clean, comfortable room at a decent price, this is a great place for that! We are definitely stopping here next spring when we travel to the area to visit family.

While we were there for the first time my son paddled a boat, caught a fish, roasted marshmallows, threw a lasso, used a bow and arrow, slingshot, BB rifle, Henry rifle, 6 shooter, and Atlatl. Pretty much ticked all the boxes for my 13 year old boy for sure, not too mention fun for me too. Highly recommended.

The rooms are not. The sheets are clean but the rest of the room is not. Grimey stains on the door jamb, hideous worn-out carpet, there is no reason why such places should exist. Again, I have to emphasize that the sheets were clean and there were no bugs in evidence, anywhere. That is every traveler's greatest fear: Bedbugs! None here. That is the only positive thing I can say about the Crystal Motel. The wifi was also very slow. I finally gave up on it.

We arrived at 9:30 pm, the pleasant clerk had no record of our reservation but readily honored the price on our email confirmation. Our room's dated decor was surprisingly well kept, clean and very nice. We realized there was no microwave, a call to the desk produced one quickly. They plugged it in, set the clock, demonstrated how to deadbolt the door and wished us well. There was a coffee maker in the room, and the wall heater quickly warmed things up. We retired to the comfortably firm king bed, and slept well in the quiet. Our a.m. shower wasn't steaming hot, but as a result we took a quick one and got on the road faster. Excuse the length of this review, as its my wife's turn driving, we're escaping the Midwest winter for Arizona warmth.

None of the other motels would let us check in before 3:00. Anyway, we got there and the gentlemen at the front was very polite and he actually let us check in a little before noon. The room was clean and we had a small fridge and microwave. We only stayed overnight, but it was a good place to stay. It was very quiet and our dogs enjoyed the stay as well. If we have to return to Sand Springs we will surely stay there.
