I typically leave energized and not sleepy. The massage quality is at par with what one would expect for this modality. I have no complaints here. The only setback is the service rate. This place, perhaps due to lack of competition, is pricey. This has prevented me from coming regularly. That said, if you've never had a Thai massage before and are curious about what makes it different--while not planning to visit Thailand soon, or any other state where there are more spas offering this service--then do visit Thai Tranquility Bodywork. This is about as rude as it gets, especially for a business person.- I still suspect that maybe, when I called her the night before to "warn" her that I was fat, and that's what she'd be dealing with, as the reason she never showed. It all worked out in the end, though. I found a great massage place in East Greenwich, and I was able to go the next day. It was wonderful! I guess some things just end up working out for the best, because I'll continue to go there in the future! :)

I was so so blessed to have found Gioia. She was a recommendation of a friend. Gioia has a tremendous knowledge of the anatomy of the body and puts it to great use. In addition, she is very strong in application as well. I always leave better than when I came in and I go regularly because her treatments and instruction allow me to work through years of mistreatment of my body from the high impact of weights and running. She also helps me to relax from there stresses of the week. Finally, she has a tremendous personality, is very friendly, and the ambiance of the room with light music and aura really aids in causing relaxation and peace. I highly recommend Gioia. No more driving around looking for on street parking. Yay! They have only been here a few weeks, so decor is still in the works. There look to be two sauna rooms and I think 3 massage rooms (maybe 4?) They share a vestibule with a law office, then have a separate entrance on the right. The outside, and inside entrances are well marked. GPS took me to the wrong location. Wanted me to drive thru a tree line between the neighboring building...just turn off Main St. into the Village on Vine parking lot. They are near the middle of the building. Same great service from their personable team of masseuses.
