It was conveniently located close to us so we started going. The first class was tough. For a person who has tried a couple of the franchise boxing gyms in Vancouver - I had the wind knocked out of me a little bit - but in a great way. I found the instructors to be invested in improvement, technique, and structure from the beginning. I genuinely felt like I took away something from that class, and I find that quite rare for fitness classes. Not only have me and my husband become "regulars" to our standards, but we have also been able to genuinely build a passion for boxing through these classes. Every instructor is passionate about how they teach, what they teach and how you are progressing. I have lower back issues and multiple times, from other regular comers, professional boxers that compete and attend the gym and the instructors, I have gotten so much advice on how I could help with that pain and strengthen my muscles. No. It's a no nonsense type of gym. They have everything that you could need as far as equipment. The gym itself is incredibly spacious...there's always room to workout and always equipment to use. The coaches are all highly knowledgeable (although each has their own style), personable and welcoming. There are newer Crossfit gyms in Vancouver, but this is the original and largest. Best of all, the people are fantastic. The gym does a great job at building community and that's what keeps most of us coming back day after day.

This is the first gym that I join in 40 years, last was European Health Spa with a Lifetime…read moremembership (got suck in for that). Anyways, I have hired two trainers to put me through my paces. The first one cause me to lose 10 pounds and she measure me every two weeks to ensure no cheating. And she loved circuit training. 2nd trainer loves weights. So there are free Bananas every Friday. Bathrooms are clean. Equipment is only 3.5 years old and new equipment has been installed. This place use to be the Queen's Hotel beer joint, and has been transform into a clean modern 24 hours gym. I have spent many mornings around 1 am to 3 am there. From day one. The trainers taught me about the battle ropes, Land mine and other exercises on the machines or weights. There is parking in both front and back. Front is normally full all the times with other business clients parking there too. Lots of parking in back. But no EV car chargers, I drive an EV. Mailbox, liqueur store, health food restaurant and a gas station are all near by. This is a safe place late at night for females, with panic alarms and security cameras inside and out in front. Don't know about the back parking lot. And I am the oldest guy there working out at 62. Looking for a work out buddy since my wife does not want to join. She's into swimming now. Must bring your own soap and shampoo. Not provided at this one. Like Stayton, Oregon is. But the lockers are free and no need to bring your own locks for this one. And wet wipes are provided to wipe the equipment off after use.
