The margaritas and food that were served here were some of the best I've ever had and the staff worked so hard to ensure that food was constantly served and drinks were never empty. I wish I took pictures of the food and drinks but they were so good that I didn't even think of it! I would love to rent this venue out for my own vacation event in the future!

Where do I start? Let's begin with the food. Outstanding. I started with grilled octopus tacos marinated in salsa pastor (tacos de pulpo al pastor). The octopus was so tender served on blue tortillas with marinated onions. Perfecto. My son had the tacos de arrachera. Flank steak. Super tender beef. Prepared with chile chipotle. Must try. I then enjoyed the tostada de pulpo en tres chiles. Yes, three different chiles. It was not spicy at all- just delicious. Take my word- just order it. You'll thank me later. The place is so beautiful with it's luscious garden, bar and patio. So nice they have weddings there. You'll have a great time. What are you waiting for?

The Picnic Company didn't just set up a pretty space -- they created an experience that made us feel like we were the only two people on the entire beach. Martoca Beach Garden is THE wedding venue…read more I have heard horror stories of trying to plan a destination wedding; however, this was the easiest experience I have ever had. Having a full service venue with the best wedding planner, photographers, florists, servers, bartenders, fireworks -- honestly Martoca has the best of everything. As a bride, not having to look through every vendor and navigating contracts and figuring out taxes and gratuity was so helpful when planning a wedding in a different country. The thing I appreciated the most was how quick and easy the communication was with Jimmy and Mariana. They also understood and respected our budget without trying to do any up-selling and even helped us take some of the more expensive budget items off and had other similar options within our price range that they suggested. You truly feel like family and not like a number to them, which was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. And when there that one day event in Puerto Vallarta, Jimmy was very upfront and honest about everything and I never felt like he was hiding anything. That being said, I and my guests walked around Puerto Vallarta (I got married in March) and felt so safe. If any guests have concerns, they should look at the live cameras and see how the boardwalk and life was immediately back to normal. One of the best parts, besides the most amazing wedding day, was the tasting day. My husband and I signed a contract sight unseen, so when it came to tour the venue and do the tasting we were very excited. I was not expecting the food to be as amazing as it was. One of the top responses from our guests was how fresh and amazing the food was. And I completely changed my vision and the whole staff got out the different tables I was envisioning during the tasting and wedding planning day without complaint. I didn't have to change a single thing in terms of florals and the hardest part was figuring out what tasty cocktails to serve at cocktail hour because all were so good and same with the food. Also, the al pastor tacos and churros are a MUST for the late night snacks. The day of the wedding was so easy and I didn't have to stress about a single thing because Mariana and her whole team had timelines for me, my husband and our wedding party and family. I always knew where I needed to be and what time every little thing was. The staff also never let any guest have an empty drink, which for a wedding of about 80, was so impressive. They were even bringing rounds of shots out onto the dance floor and drinks, so the party never had to stop. I do recommend the fireworks and the donkey! The fireworks are sooo impressive and your guests will love taking photos with the worlds cutest burro. The Martoca Film team needs their own special shout out. I came with 0 inspiration photos and said just do whatever they wanted and they delivered! Every photo and video we received, you can just see the artistry behind the camera. And they were so much fun and easy to be around. I truly loved the whole team and they are BEYOND talented. I could write a book on how amazing our wedding was and how easy the whole process was. Go: Of all of the decisions I made about my wedding (and as anyone who has planed a wedding will know, there are many, many, many decisions involved) choosing Sea of Dreams and Yazmin was the absolute best decision I made in the entire process. I was living in London during the planning months, and while one might think planning a wedding from abroad would be a stressful or confusing process, Yazmin made the entire experience seamless and exceptionally fun. Her passion and creativity ensure that you'll get the exact experience you want - whether it's a super formal affair or a casual fiesta - and her in-depth knowledge of the local vendors, venues, housing options, transportation, (and, well, everything!) helped immensely. As she is a Sayulita local herself, we quickly learned that Yazmin is as well-respected and well-loved by all of the locals as she is by us. Limited budget? Unconventional ideas? (she pulled off a parade in our case...) No worries. She worked within our budget and didn't just agree with everything we said, but helped us figure out just where our money would be best spent with the type of ceremony and reception we had in mind. And much like her final product, Yazmin herself is a beautiful, kind, creative person. Best decision we could have made! When we started planning…read morea wedding we had a little less than a year to organize which was plenty she could have done all this in weeks. The communication was excellent from the beginning on and and she responded very quickly to our texts and emails. When we felt a call was needed which was only 2 times we scheduled a day or two in advance due to all of us being busy. We had a lot of back and forth with Yazmin about little details (I am a very high maintenance person ;-) )she usually responded very quickly if I felt it was not quick enough (2-3 days after if it ever happened) I just sent another email and she usually responded right away within a day. As you we had about a year a little less after we found her to plan everything so there was enough time and as I was still figuring things out she was 10 steps a head of us. I somehow knew what I wanted at least the colors and I had used pinterest to figure out what I liked. We told her what we wanted in a way and she got our concept very quickly. At first I was concerned because I saw mainly weddings she had done that looked very traditional Mexican or Bohemian chic and I wanted something more elegant. And different from the pictures I had seen. Yazmin immediately understood what we wanted and sent us suggestions that we loved and a lot of them we ended up realizing. Yazmin is able to guide you and bring up solutions as she is very experienced. She has great ideas and without us ever seeing her we trusted her once she started sending suggestions that fit exactly what we liked. Yazmin always had our best interest in mind at all times. She bargained every single price she could to get it cheaper for us. She asked what our priorities were and made suggestions according to this. And in addition to this she usually also found a cheaper option to our expensive idea so we could decide if we wanted to spend the money or just decide for the more affordable option. Once we landed in Mexico she welcomed us as if we are her best friends/family. She organized us food on her costs for us and our families, she surprised us with a bottle of tequila and made sure we had every little thing we needed. I had never seen her before and once I saw her I knew I don't have to be concerned about anything. She has a great taste, is organized and very very calming. On our wedding day we did not have to be worried about anything. I even changed the color of the chairs the day of the wedding and got nothing but a smile and a "no problem I want you to love it". (That meant 130 chairs that were offloaded already to be reloaded on the truck taken through the jungle back down the hill...) In addition to this Yazmin helped organize an entire party the night before the wedding. She organized the venue ( a little mexican restaurant at the beach) brought HER decoration for free, decorated and made sure we get an amazing price from the restaurant for drinks and food. We did not ask her to help for this event before we arrived and she organized everything last minute for us while having other weddings. From the moment we arrived until the wedding she was there when we needed her. From checking out the last minute venue for the party for the night before the wedding (which was poorly planned from our side and success through her) to taking me to get my nails done last minute to really everything. Yazmin is an extremely friendly, patient and humble person with your best interest in mind. She wants your wedding to be as awesome as if it was hers. She always makes sure you feel like your wedding is the only one! I did not have any negative experiences with Yazmin. When I got too worried and I panicked thinking she doesn't respond the way I want and I got a little mad at her finding out later that she had already arranged the better price and solution for us so NO there was never a reason to worry. I wish I would have known how amazing she is I would have not worried a second. Not a single person from my family, friends or my husband and I have nothing but good things to say about her. She did an outstanding job. :-) Also I should have trusted her more she knows the best venues, vendors, caterers and everything. Everything I asked for she did better than I expected.

Their hotel and resort were also safe, beautiful, well maintained, and easily accessible by Uber, taxis, and other transport. I was told by a local driver that this location is considered the "Beverly Hills" of Puerto Vallarta, so prices were accordingly higher than in some other areas in town. Despite the price tag, I felt that the service we received was worth every dollar. I loved the all-inclusive dining and bar, and really appreciated the option of add-on services like massages, beauty salon, etc...not to mention the almost-private beach, two pools, and a hot tub! This venue provides entertainment and relaxation, as well as excellent wedding coordination! I hope I get to go back one day!
