Brides, this couple will travel, so go ahead and drool over their Florida beach and aquarium wedding shoots, but they will also come to you even if you live somewhere cold and decidedly non-beachy. We found Wes and Liz through their blog of a prior wedding they had photographed at the Yale Club. We interviewed probably 5-6 photographers and kept coming back to the photos from Your Story by Us at GCT. We met Wes and Liz by FaceTime (and also their doggie). They are easy-going, reminded us of ourselves and our friends, and we could easily envision working with them for our wedding. Also, their prices (including travel) were much more reasonable than NY photographers. An engagement shoot can be an awkward experience, but working with Wes and Liz made it fun and comfortable. The fact that they are a couple makes it easy for them to model poses that you can copy. We traipsed around the West Village and NoHo on a gorgeous December day, and we have a ton of pretty shots from the day that are not your typical cheesy engagement pics. Same goes for the wedding--they captured all of the important moments (e.g., the groom grabbing the microphone back from the best man after best man so-soberly decided a second toast was imperative) and details. Thank you! We will treasure our photos for years to come.

We booked with Jon back in September of 2023 for our October 2024 wedding. Unfortunately, three weeks to the date, Hurricane Helene destroyed our wedding venue. This resulted in the VENUE canceling our wedding. Jon has been nothing but difficult to work with regarding this situation & the contract we have with him. His contract CLEARLY states in Section 3: "All other payments made are refundable upon client providing proof of the wedding cancellation from wedding venue or contracted event planner." We sent Jon a screenshot from our wedding venue refunding us our money due to the hurricane to showcase that the VENUE was the reason for our cancellation, as this clearly was not our (the client's) choice. Jon telling his clients the reason for no refunds is due to the cancellation being within 30 days of the event is invalid as his contract states point blank that payments are nonrefundable only if the CLIENT is to cancel the event. We have tried to call & email Jon numerous times with no luck with him answering. My fiancé & I are extremely understanding & understand that Hurricane Helene impacted not only us but our wedding vendors as well. With that being said, we expect a certain level of professionalism and consideration from the vendors we are giving our money to & Jon has not showcased that or honored the terms of his contract.

My daughter was intrigued with the photographs that she viewed online, so we decided to book her. All I can say is that the photographs Monika took, have taken my breath away. She successfully captured such special moments and the raw emotion of the day. This was a destination wedding with the bride living in a different state, so the first time the bride and groom met Monika was a couple of hours prior to the ceremony. Monika was eager to get the perfect shots right from the beginning and had the professional ability to gauge the lighting (our venue had some lighting challenges) for success! We couldn't be more pleased with the results! It's like reliving the happiest moments of the day. RG productions were promoted by my venue, I did my research online and I contacted them via email, received a respond in a very modest time. As their client, I have to say I loved the fact we communicated via text message, email and phone call. We even had a zoom meeting in which we had the opportunity to meet and discuss our colors, theme, location etc... They also met with my daughter via zoom to know her likes, dislikes and create this bonds since they would be spending time with her for her pre-event pictures as well as her event making their relationship easygoing.
