Wow! Just wow! My wife heard about Viet Bites through word of mouth and we were excited to try this new restaurant because it's very close to home. Also, we love Vietnamese cuisine. Not knowing what to expect, we asked a few questions and wanted to make sure that the onions were cooked and not raw in this dish, and asked the chef to leave them on the skillet a little extra. This special request seemed to throw our server for a loop, he said he'll have to translate and disappeared into the kitchen. When our sizzling dish arrived, he warned us the plate was very hot. Chunks of quality tender sirloin steak, green onions and cilantro on top, white onions cooked underneath. A fried egg sizzling on the side, with a crusty base stuck to the plate in a very delicious way.. It was everything I could do to keep from scooping up all the leftover gravy and eating it with a spoon. This dish has the most savory sauce, great for the rice! A nice pile of veggies on the side, traditional sliced cucumber shredded lettuce carrots and herbs. I asked for a side of fish sauce vinaigrette, like they would use on the vermicelli ball and he happily brought me a small container. I used this as a salad dressing and then finished it on the rice.
