This place offers no frills Vietnamese food at a decent price. Several meals including a noodle soup, curry, vermicelli salad and stir-fry are available for $10. I opted for the vegetarian Bahn Mi, a Vietnamese sandwich with pickled vegetables and marinated tofu on a french baguette roll, an absolute bargain at only $5 (meat versions are $7)! It was tasty, but as far as Bahn Mi's go, it was just about average - the tofu was a bit overcooked and it could have used a bit more pickled veggies in my opinion, but the bread tasted extremely fresh. Spending so little on my sandwich I felt free to order some rice paper rolls which came with a delectable peanut sauce (w/ optional chilies). Great spot for a quick lunch on the cheap.
A bit of a positive rant: I'm really happy that this place charges the appropriate price for the vegetarian option, which usually involves cheaper ingredients. Most restaurants take advantage of vegetarian clientele by charging the same (or even higher) prices for a veggie option that costs less to make. I'm not vegetarian, but good on this place for not price gouging the vegetarians. read more
