I rarely write negative reviews, but the service I received at Vigo Coffee Shop was so utterly horrendous, I felt compelled to share my experience and warn others. If you value basic human courtesy and professionalism, avoid this place entirely. From the moment I walked in, I should have known better. I stood by the counter for a good minute, completely ignored by the single barista who was supposedly running the show. There was no greeting, no eye contact, not even a simple nod to acknowledge my presence. After a couple of minutes of studying the menu and deciding on my order, I politely tried to initiate the transaction. I looked at the barista--who was doing something behind the register--and asked, "Are you ready to take my order?" His actual, unfiltered response was, "I'm here, ain't I?" That was it. That was the entirety of my first and, I guarantee, last interaction with Vigo Coffee Shop. This shocking display of contempt and piss-poor customer service set the tone immediately. I was so taken aback by the sheer rudeness that I simply walked out. A coffee shop's product might be decent, but if the staff treats paying customers with such disdain, it doesn't matter how good the latte is. My first impression was one of absolute indifference and insolence, and it's enough to ensure I will never waste my time or money here again. Save yourself the trouble and the unnecessary frustration. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Tried Vigo coffee as a part of the Oak Park coffee passport promotion. I was most interested in Vigo's Horchata latte, so I went there first. Unfortunately, it mostly tasted like horchata, no coffee flavor at all. At first I thought they were just heavy handed on the horchata (it is in the name after all) but after drinking it, I felt no caffeine. I believe I may have just gotten a horchata. The ambiance of this coffeehouse is great, they have plants and original art for sale as well as some games. I will likely go back to give them another chance, but was bummed with my order. read more

Came in on a whim, hot drink on a cold day. Immediately honed in on the Hazelnut Mint Mocha Latte as my choice for the visit. Service was so quick, kind, and the drink was delicious. I don't think I've ever had a creamier latte in my life. Absolutely will come back on my next visit. read more

Welcoming A New Business Gem located in Oak Park Downtown. I enjoyed the nice laid back atmosphere of this place. The young lady behind the counter Natalie was friendly. She was very nice with a great personality. Nice welcoming smile. The Vanilla Boubon Latte was delicious. I like the seating area of this place nice comfy couch where you can bring your laptop to work. I love a great coffee shop with variety unique flavors of coffee/latte and delicious pastries. Pretty nice coffee shop, good for studying, reading, and remote work. The baristas are nice and your drink will be out quickly. I like the location, very convenient for Metra and the Purple Line. The quality of drinks is decent. I've had much better lattes and mochas. That said, the horchata latte is a winner. Prices are typical for Oak Park/Cook County. read more

I think this new location opened recently. Friendly staff and a good selection of drinks and smaller food items. Latino inspired items include horchata latte and empanadas. My basic oatmilk latte was good, the espresso flavor was solid and didn't have any bitter taste. Lots of seating with outlets making this a great study space. Some counter height seats and some sofa seats. There's also an enclosed private glass room if you claim it early. read more

Absolutely terrible! The owner of this place should clean house with management and staff. They are never open on time, mobile ordering is canceled half the time because staff doesn't feel like making orders and they apparently clean all coffee equipment an hour before closing and refuse to make orders- why are you open for that hour then! It is an absolute shame since coffees and other items are good but what is that worth if service is terrible and you can't get your order completed. Skip it and go to one of the MANY other options. read more

It was my first time here and I can honestly say I will be going back. The barista was friendly and helpful and brought our pastries and drinks to the table. The ambience was great to sit and chat or get some work done. I had the cafe de olla which was just as I'd imagine...full of Mexican flavors. This new coffee shop came to downtown oak park. The owner is from Mexico and you can feel the Mexican inspiration in the menu. They place is great for a good cup of coffee and a good conversation. They have a space in the back to do some work as well. I got the bourbon syrup in my Americano. Unfortunately they didn't have drip coffee at the time but the Americano was definitely worth it. read more

Absolutely amazing, had a chicken and chipotle torta that was phenomenal as well as a iced chai latte that I clumsily spilled but the workers were more than happy to give me another refill which was completely unnecessary and I would have gladly paid for another.
