My partner and I contacted Viisi half a year before we started our search for a house to buy. They gave us a call, were very friendly and made an assessment of the amount of mortgage we would be eligible for (taking into account our situation as PhD candidates and non-Dutch residents). The assessment was very accurate and helped us tremendously to gauge how much we could afford in the housing market. After our bid was accepted, we contacted Viisi again and Elsbeth van der Vlist became our main contact person from Viisi. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful and quick with response. Within just a couple of days, she prepared and gave a detailed presentation for us, where she outlined all mortgage options available to us and explained the pros and cons of each option. She provided her own view on the options, but was never pushy in any sense. She gave us plenty of time to consider which mortgage we wanted to take. Because of some special arrangement, we had to secure a mortgage within 2-3 weeks, and she made it happen despite all the time constraint. We were deeply impressed. Furthermore, she even managed to obtain a mortgage for us that is higher than what we had expected. We really owed many thanks to her for the help.
