We joined this pool for first time this year, after years at another pool. This pool has a much more laid back and friendly vibe. Overall, we would've joined another pool if we had more time to assess everything. Mosby and the Fairfax pool by Mason have been superior in relation to the pros/cons listed below. Cons: They have an initial $250 fee that none of the other local pools have Pool needs work as far as the upkeep (the bottom is going) They have no snack bar They won't let you put chairs near the pool or on the deck to be near your kids if you're not swimming They list events on their calendar that don't actually happen (and nobody working there has any idea what's going on) They're not very reasonable about letting you back out of membership if you want to quit and join another pool (without eating the $700 or so you paid for the summer) They won't let an older sibling stay with a younger one at the kiddy pool during breaks Management is not very courteous in general after you sign up No grills Showers are built for adults. Kids can't use on their own unless they're maybe 5 feet all. Pros: It's in my neighborhood Life guards are attentive They enforce a swim test prior to getting out of the baby area Basketball court and pool basketball Ping pong (though I saw kids collapse a table a few times and thought they were lucky not to get injured) read more
