The food selection was pretty typical sandwiches and pastries. The staff was not super friendly and a bit stressed snapping at people to move along or repeat their order. I don't think I'd come back here again even with tourists, there's nicer options just down the street or other parts of Gothenburg.

The steamed vegetables that came with it were pretty disgusting, but I hate vegetables so maybe it's just me. The potatoes were very good, and came with a sauce called béarnaise (like bear + mayonnaise maybe? lol). Overall, with drinks, our meal came to about 450 sek. A little much for the small portions we got. I would definitely not come back here again, except maybe for their after work: all-you-can-eat happy hour (4:00-7:00pm) where they give you unlimited french fries, sausage and meatballs for like $4. We were there in winter and on a Sunday so there weren't as many shops open as we expect is normal for this area. There were a couple bakeries displaying their delicious smelling baked goods out on the street and a couple cafes open. I bet it's a great location in summer with the shops open and people outside vending their items. It's also nice that it's in walking distance to the fortress so you can combine lunch, shopping, a great view, and a historical site all in one visit.

Pastries were bad--sat out all day and you could literally see the insects eating the food. The service was shockingly horrible. There are no prices listed so tourists can be charged more. They do not offer a receipt (which is illegal in Sweden) because they overcharge tourists. Three of us walked in asked how much an item was. My friend was charged that price and I was charged double it. When I said that did not seem to be the price we had been told (or my friend 30 seconds before paid). They tried to have my friend pay extra again (despite the reason that was paid was we were told the price). Staff was extremely rude and manipulative during the whole situation. Cafes and people in the area are so lovely, go to literally anywhere else.
