The location of this villa is quite remote, and set in a beautiful Tuscan surroundings. There are lovely views in all direction. The sunsets are grand. There little two steps here & there, going to your rooms. The Dining Room is in the basement, you could fit 24 people in a row, comfortable enough to go in & out of your table to the salad buffet (which is the same 3 nights in a row). Breakfast has selections of cold cuts, cheese, breads, cereals, FRESH BAKED BREAD (you can smell it coming out of your bedroom), but other breads were leftover from the night before! Two types of warm cooked eggs, soft boiled eggs, honey, jams etc. Also, they have fresh fruits, others are wilted fruits, or with worm bitten fruits, ( should give 1 minus star for that, since they don't look good enough to eat, but others thought the riper the fruit, the better - just don't care for wilted wrinkly looking apples!)
The room: we comfortable, larger than the previous we stayed, shower excellent, decor was envious, except that others had fireplace and views of the Tuscan vineyards & sunset! The staff were friendly.
We paid for 8 hours of internet, and we could only able to connect Wi-Fi for less than 1hr for the 3 nights we stayed here.
Oh, right after coming back from a Wine Tasting event, I wanted to use the Toilette, and the receptionist said, no toilette (I knew there was one by the lobby, but I wasn't sure where it was since it was dark), but turned around and said, do we have the key to our room? So, we climbed up & down 2 steps to our bedroom, and use that. On our 2nd night we came back from our tour, there's also BLOOD COLOR, and it was a foul smell - no it wasn't a cleaner, it smelled more like someone used it and not flushed it. It grossed me out!
MINUS a star for that! I'm deducting 1 more star. Our Tour Director emailed them, about my jacket & gloves I left from our room. This is now the middle of December, and I still haven't gotten them shipped. They also closed for winter, so we were the last group that they served! Our Director sent me a 2nd copy of another email, to tell them to ship my jacket & gloves. No respond. They did said, they found my jacket, but they NEVER MAILED IT TO ME.
An update: A Confirmed email back to our Tour Director, saying, I still have not received my jacket & glove, with a copy from the last email, I think it's now fair to say that the jacket is lost. IMO: hey'd rather lose customers than part with my jacket! read more
