Upon arrival, my teenage daughter and I were waiting on the patio for our room when I believe the manager came to let us in. He showed us a room just inside the main door, but didn't give us the code. We stood confused before we knocked on what we assumed was his door (was another suite). He then unlocked the door he previously showed us, opened it, and my daughter gasped. There were two men in bed, clearly shocked. I. Was. MORTIFIED. We then went to our suite. Everything was adequate at first. The door in the back didn't lock properly and was in one of the bedrooms. My daughter and I were alone. We really did not feel safe, so I had her stay with the other family we came down with. The toilets did NOT work properly and we had to plunge it with no success so often we had to go to the public restroom. We were even throwing our TP in the garbage and not flushing--still clogged and smelled awful because there's no vent or window that opens in the bathroom. There was hair all over my bedding as if it were slept in. The additional bedding smelled of body must, so I didn't use that either. The manager was sweet, but I feel unprofessional. The management was confusing and seemed lax. There are bikes, chairs, coolers, and other items to utilize for the beach, which I appreciated very much. The parking is $30/day, but worth it in my opinion. Parking otherwise was pretty nuts. Not a bad place, but we paid a lot of money and felt like anyone could walk in at anytime from either door. The cleanliness was not great. The beach convenience was lovely. I'm not terribly picky, but I probably wouldn't stay again. read more

My husband and I stayed here for a few days. We come to Hollywood beach often. We loved our stay. The location and parking was easily accessible to us with a parking ticket. The place can be a little overwhelming if you have ADHD. However, the host make sure everything is there that you need. There is a list of everything and written is the cost of everything. Just be sure to look at the pamphlet to tell you the price of things and you shouldn't have a problem. I did not see any bugs or roaches when I stayed there. But I will say there are roaches walking the broadwalk of Hollywood beach. It is a beach town. There are roaches crawling the walls of the local restaurant on the beaches. I think you would have to go off the beach more if your concern is creepy crawlers. It was nice to walk back from the beach, cook a nice meal and stroll the beaches at night. We enjoyed beverages and the hot tub. This may not be your average family resort, but it a unique experience and stay. We had a nice relaxing stay and will be back again. This hotel & owner was by far the worst most disappointing, disgusting , disrespectful experience my family has ever witnessed. I ONLY went to this hotel because of the reviews I thought it had...Upon arrival there is no lobby and the owner was trying to cover up in prior comments that I saw that "he is running a small hotel so he doesn't feel the need for a lobby" but it doesn't cover the reason why during my check-in he took about 20 minutes to come up to me and he was just sitting and drinking when he got up he was really drunk and falling side to side; and he couldn't even finish doing the tour to which his wife had to finish checking us in. Then as we walked inside we noticed IMMEDIATELY it is nothing like the picture. It More of a FLUZZY one night stand motel than a family villa if we are being honest. he has the room filled with over priced items like $3 CHEAP BAR OF SOAP $4 FOR ONE ROLL OF PAPER TOWEL. Hidden Fees Everywhere; he says that he has parking but he doesn't he only has two parking spots and then he gives you a parking tag that you can park on the street but there is no street parking since it is public city property and it is usually filled 24 seven and if you request your $20 back he will not give them to you and if you park anywhere else but by the pay by phone that like I said are always taken you will get a $50 ticket like me and my family got which he also screamed at us for and didn't even care to explain to us how to fix the situation. Apart from that he advertises that you can have five guest sleeping or staying in the room that we were in and he charged us an extra $300 because he thinks that the gas that we had over stayed the night and he is charging us $20 per guest per night but he saw us dismissed and Walker guess out every single night as he is always by the front of the hotel drinking which made us feel very uncomfortable and gave us a very weird vibe overall. the fridge was full of junk and sugary drinks and I had to put them in another cabinet. The whole place was full of naked pictures and we had children so it was quiet unpleasant. Very DUSTY, UNSAFE, UNSANITARY. NAKED men came into the HOTTUB while me and my family were there and the owner let him. We all quickly left feeling so Grossed out! The owner was very drunk and drugged to say the least. Screaming profanities ( F*** OFF) and saying "get out of my hotel if you don't like it " All Because we had COCKROACHES in the room. I hope to spare someone of the terrible experience we witness because of the owner and his attitude and unwillingness to help the guest at all! I mean just look at it in his condescending replies. THE OWNER IS DRUNK AND COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL AND AGGRESSIVE! I will never stay here again. The room were full of roaches and the owner was so rude when we told him about them and once we asked him to pick them up because as a guest that isn't what I am paying for. He processed to tell me that if I didn't like it I could get out of his hotel. Then insulted me and my children with profanity and almost touched us! The kitchen was extremely disgusting and he didn't care to clean anything. In the check in he was so drunk he was falling from side to side and left us there and his wife finished the check out. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful! The cops were called on him by another guess for his parking SCAM is has running. He says he will give you a parking pass for spots that belong to the city that are always taken and he is just playing with the guest time and money! The hotel only has 2 parking spots ( which he books to anyone, guest or beach goer) that he charges you everyday for once you check out. A COMPLETE SCAM AND THE OWNER IS A DRUNK. DO NOT BOOK HERE! We checked out Villa Sinclair as we needed a place to spend the day after checkout of our miami lodging and before flying out of Fort Lauderdale. They had everything we needed... the Hollywood beach is nice and less than a 5 minutes walk from the beach club. It is not a fancy place but it has charm and consideration. The French owner is funny and welcoming with a dash of edge. We were happy with our choice and the ease of arriving to the airport upon departure. read more

Invisible to me the consumer, but buried beneath the walls of text you'll find on Villa Sinclair's website are some frightening policies. Agglomerated with the honeytrap of hidden fees you may find inside the walls of your private suite, Villa Sinclair is more Aqua Teen Hunger Force Ghetto Casa than the romantic beachside getaway it attests to be. The rooms are furnished with every amenity you can possibly need. From paper towels in the kitchen to bathroom soaps, items are marked with an invisible-to-the-eye exorbitantly high price tag, rung up after the stay. And don't dare cancel your reservation, even 45 days before intended stay. When I disputed the $200 fee proposed, I received this text: No 1/ it is posted on the website 2/ i run the card 3 days after i texted u for you to review your resa (sic) Lies. Apparently this policy for the hotel was buried somewhere in the depths of an emoji-ridden text message (which I had to scroll 4 times to read fully). Tl; Dr At Villa Sinclair, you may find yourself lost in a sea of cheesy text-based rambles, tacky tchotchkes, and hidden fees bordering on surreal. Stay away from here. Absolutely horrendous. The place smelled like marijuana inside and outside and they had topless women at the hot tub. We booked there on our honeymoon expecting it to be as advertised and were completely disappointed. Then after moving hotels the owner harassed us for 3 days afterwards calling me a liar and fat because I reported him to booking.com which is where we made our reservations through. He is a nightmare and his "Suite and spa" is not as it seems. They also try to nickel and dime you with water and tea in the fridge and they don't leave enough room in there for any of your own perishables. Definitely check this place out before renting because the property and the owner made our honeymoon a honeymoon from hell. read more

This is my favorite hidden gem hideaway in all of South Florida, right on the beautiful Hollywood beach boardwalk. Each room is named after a famous French master painter such as Monet; Van Gogh; Picasso; Renoir; and my personal favorite: Gauguin. There is original art, fully stocked kitchen, TV with DVDs, music, the works! Perfect for a romantic vacation. The boardwalk is also so much fun! True south Florida's finest. Villa Sinclair appears to be a bit of paradise, however if you indulge in all there is to offer you will pay much more than the original price of the room. There are hundreds of things for sale in the apartment including a role of paper towels and a sponge. While it sounds wonderful to have a kitchen, the refridgerator is so full of things for sale that there was barely any room for my groceries and when i went to clean up I had to resort to toilet paper or a bathroom towel because I didnt want to pay $3 for the paper towels. Why wouldn't they be included? Don't they want us to clean up? I understand the mini bottles of alcohol and some cookies for sale, but tampons? And everything is of course way over priced for the Convenience. The bed was covered in more things for sale, robes, a worn looking box of soaps and creams, beach towels. If you enjoy staying in a store then maybe you will like the Villa. There is a wonderful looking hot tub, which I didn't get to try because the owners wife and child were in it for three hours, it must not be very hot as a toddler could stay in it for hours. My other complaint is the unnecessary waste of electricity. When we arrived every single light and there must have been 15 at least as well as two air conditions full blast were on. I suppose the owner feels this is welcoming, but think of the next generation please, don't be a hog, I can turn on my own lights and when I left for the beach I turned AC off and when I came back and turned them on it only took a few minutes to cool off. The general vibe is not right. Would not recommend or return! read more

This place is absolutely beautiful and exclusive! Anyone that knows me knows how important luxury but comfort is to me. Between the outdoor hot tub, the hammock, the cabanas and the Bbq area....I don't know which is my favorite part. I could sit outside in the cabana and work in privacy in a beautiful atmosphere. The service is very good and the welcome is warm. I highly recommend this location if you are passing through on vacation or even just looking to hang with friends in style. We stayed in the magnificent Renior Suite at Villa Sinclair and immensely enjoyed our stay. This place is truly a paradise. The villas are fully stocked with snacks, wine & spirits, and even spices. There is a full kitchen and outdoor grill if you want to cook. But by far the best feature are the patios that surround the villa. I don't hand out 5 stars to just anyone and I travel often enough to know how to get a great deal. This is 5 stars all the way. Be sure to check in on a Friday so you begin your vacation with a party. It's close to everything but secluded at the same time. And the family who owns and runs the establishment est tout detout simplement le meilleur. VILLA SINCLAIR IS MY HAPPY PLACE. We will be back again, soon. I miss it already. read more

I stayed there last weekend and i would not recommend the place . Only reason I am giving two stars is due to location of the house otherwise , its not recommended at all to stay at this hotel . Its a honey trap where owner charges useless things to the bill after you are gone . From the photo it looked like great rooms but the rooms are small in size and old style . I would rather stay at other nearby hotels than at this place . read more
