Rooms are old , and there is quite a long way to walk from reception to junior suites. Spa is nice and children friendly. The hotel's location is great for relaxation and nature lovers, the sight from the hotel is spectacular, so quite and peaceful surroundings There is the Kolmården Zoo Park adjacent to it, and actually when you make booking the offer tickets for you the Zoo, ( which are KOR 400 per adult per day ). The rooms are little small but beautiful, get a room facing the sea, a great view. Well the ones facing the forest not bad too, I guess. The bathrooms small and clean and nicely organized. The lobby is large, there is a spa and swimming pool, heated one. The restaurant offers a lecarte and buffet dinner, while lunch is served as buffet. I did not like the lunch buffet selection, too narrow, but I must add that the breakfast buffet is good with alot to choose. There is a free Wifi in the lobby and the rooms, and free parking for your car, or...bus. Many Swedish companies make their annual meetings here. If your looking for a nice resort, great scenery, a Zoo to visit, and really relaxing atmosphere in Sweden, then don't miss staying here. I highly recommend it. This is a four star hotel.

All other hotels in central Norrköping were booked (or at least didn't have one or two nights availability during the week), so Villa Bråviken was among the few options left in the 'close' proximity to Norrköping. (20-30 mins, that is) . The house is from the 1920's, and is very close to Kålmården. I assume it's a hit during the summer season. But definitely not during the winter season. It's simply far out in the bushes, literally. - The internet sucks. It's slow, and it drops the connection all the time. It's not recommended to stay here if you need internet. - The breakfast is mediocre at its best. The bread is usually not fresh, and they don't keep it covered, so it's all dry by the time you come down and eat. The milk and yogurt just sits outside, without being chilled. Typically, the breakfast is from 8-10, which is absurd. However, they were kind enough to accommodate to our time schedule and serve it by 7 am. Thumbs up :) - There is a no-name branded LCD TV, which unfortunately was so crappy, that the colors looked like your grandfathers washed out flannel shirt from last century. There is no direct cable connection, so they've put a signal strengthener to tune in the channels. However, despite the tuner being on MAX, I couldn't tune in more than 2 channels (SVT 1 & 2). The rest of the channels were basically "off the radar", so to say. - The restroom doesn't have floor heating, so the floor tiles are super cold in the morning. Actually, they're cold all the time. Nevertheless, it was a nice gesture of them to have renovated the bathroom, but what's up with the tiny sink? It's not Swedish standards, I am pretty sure about that! They also don't have any shampoo or body wash. There's just some hand soap, and that's it. - The parking is non-existent. It's a slippery slope. The owners park their two cars there, including their utility trailer, which takes up a quarter of the space. Small bits 'n pieces: - The owners live in the house. - The door lucks suck. It sounds weird, but it's very hard to put in the key in the keyhole. I almost broke my key out of frustration... :) - The key fob weighs a ton. WTF?
