My grandfather was there for 6 months and it was the most horrific experience My family has ever been through. They are EXTREMELY short staffed. They had 2 aides to 30+ plus residents many times, they use agency staff which are always different aides and nurses , and they have no clue what's going on. We had to BEG for my grandpa to get showered. I called the D.O.N on a weekly basis to ask when he would get his shower and nothing ever changed. My mother started giving him his bathes along with all his personal care. My family was with him 12 hours a day and he still did not receive proper care . He would be left in soiled diapers, we would put on call light and would wait 20+ min and finally just did it ourselves. This place is terrible. My grandpa fell one night they never called us we arrived at 6 am and he was sitting in the hall naked bleeding profusely like it was no big deal. He needed stitches and had pneumonia when he arrived at hospital . Residents are neglected here. If you plan on putting your loved one here and you can't monitor their care 24/7 then don't expect a long term stay. There was one nurse Angie 2 aides one very short hair and the other black hair with tattoos that my papa loved and one dietary aide we really loved so much, the rest of the staff is horrible. My grandfather past away in the middle of the night a couple weeks ago which has been traumatizing for our family. We saw him at 7 pm and at 3 am they called and said he passed away. Only explanation we got was he had been throwing up, again no phone call to report the illness. The only thing we have come to terms of is that they must of had him laying flat on his back and he aspirated when vomiting. Since he passed we did not receive one phone call from anyone there not the administrator, D.O.N, no one to say sorry for your loss or check on us, goes to show these people are there for money. They could care less about the residents .. there were so many errors. We caught a nurse red handed giving him whole pills when there was an order for crushed only, she admitted to have been doing it for days and he had pneumonia that week he had the fall which could have easily been from aspirating the pills .. Same nurse was back in his room next day with an attitude . My mother then would not allow agency in his room at all due to all the errors. Please just do you research . Yes the building is clean and remodeled but everything else is terrible. I know things can sometimes be unbearable or hard to keep sick loved ones at home, trust me This was the hardest decision our family ever had to make and my mother stayed with him 8 hours every single day he was there, but please research thoroughly before making your choice if you have to go this route and check on your loved ones

We placed my mother, who has dementia, in traditional assisted living in April, 2020, during Covid. Before welcoming her with open arms, they had her room all set up with her personal belongings so she would feel at home when she arrived. Our deep gratitude goes to Nikki Vawter for this. She is an absolute Angel! The nursing and caregiver staff are absolutely amazing, warm and giving! During Covid she was kept safe and continually tested. Also during Covid, Nikki was able to FaceTime with mom's children as we were not able to visit at the time. Mom is so happy and content. She is a life long faithful Catholic and a social butterfly! She is able to go to the beautiful church any time she wants, as well as socialize with the other residents. And she loves the numerous activities! We very highly recommend this facility for any senior needs, from independent living to nursing home care!

Now the staff & administration are lying trying to cover their tracks because they did not adhere to the state standards and requirements. The food, when delivered to her room, was ice cold, inedible. The evening aide turned the a/c, in her room, to 62 both nights. That was the care she got overnight. I do not recommend Cypress to care for your loved ones.

There was a young guy who came in every night before leaving who washed if I needed anything before he left for home. I can not say that there wasn't a person who wasn't caring and nice. I can only speak of my experience there and I was so thankful that they got me strong enough to go home. Also the family must stay involved with your care. At any nursing facility it's a must. Thanks to all who was involved of my care. The food was okay. If they had something that I didn't care for they offered me something else. The other big concern which I didn't realize when I signed my contract, not that I ever imagined I would get a life allowing injury, that they are a self pay workers comp company. Avoid any company that self pays for workers comp benefits. The lack of communication and services available when the company is self paid are seriously lacking. This way of providing coverage caused unneccesary financial strain and duress. There is no oversight and benefits can be stopped without warning or notification.

They hooked me up with monitors and IVs. My comfort was top priority and concern. My nurses / assistants .... All the staff was an excellent crew. All very polite pleasant and very supportive to each other. Very informative and helpful to me. Wonderful lady doing the cooking! I never had the cook come in to ask about the food! Or if she could get me anything! Even the cleaning lady ask if I needed anything! Folks it does not get any better than this! I live in Washington c.h. 35 miles from Xenia 22 miles from Wilmington and 5 miles from Fayette Memorial. My Primary Dr. Is Dr. Sharett in Jamestown. My oncologist is Dr. O with Soin in Beaver Creek. Don't go to this ER if theres an emergency, if you do go don't get upset at the staff when they…read morepreform poorly, you'll probably get security called on you like i did. Imagine if you will, your family member just took a prescription pill and is going into Anaphylaxis, you rush them to the ER, they go inside, you follow after parking your vehicle, but theres no one in the ER, no staff, no security, no patients, just you standing in an empty and locked up ER, they leave you there frantic and worried for around 10 minutes (people can die of Anaphylaxis in seconds, let alone 10 minutes), but when you finally find someone you better be cheerful when you ask why the ER desk has been unmanned, because when the nurse tells you to calm down, and that they weren't at the desk because they were checking your spouse in for treatment, you shouldn't tell them that they're just making excuses, you should kiss their ass and keep that smile up or have security called, because this hospital is the same as the rest, they insulate themselves from reprimand, and you'll get no resolution from reporting them. Oh, and their security likes to put their hands on people when they're leaving (like in my case), you can have your back turned to the incompetent staff, walking out the doors, and you'll probably get pushed from behind like i was.

I had the worst treatment at this hospital by after care nurses name Jahnse and Jenny at Sion…read morehospital. These nurses allowed me to feel unsafe that I discharge my self early after only 1 night stay from a major surgery. They refused meds that were prescribed to me while I was in extreme pain. They allowed me to remain in blood stained sheets the whole time and played mind games with what meds I was able to take when my charts showed clearly I was prescribed the amount I asked. I haven't even received an after care call since I left. I hope that they re train them proper care to clients this was a very emotional experience i hope no one ever has to encounter again. The evening nurses and the dr who did my surgery were excellent.. but those two day time nurses need to fix their attitude and behavior. It looks bad on the hospital.
