Wow. The manager appears to allow people smoke here on launi's and on the property, in spite of the county's no smoking laws. The grounds are fairly maintained, but the buildings are run down and generally beat. Our bathroom sink will not drain. We have asked the Property manager twice to fix. No response. Still not fixed after 10 days. There are 4 bbq grills. Nice. But not one works right. At best half work with half the burners. The condos have mildew and mold and most metal work is rusty and corroded. Outside emergency stairways are very dangerous because the steel casings of the cement steps have large gaps between the step and the steel wrap. Very easy to catch and trip. The "putting" practice greens are trashed. Conditions and quality must improve before we will return. I have been in motel 6's that have been much better. Stayed thru Home Away at someone's condo. Absolutely lovely, perfect location as it is central to amazing markets, restaurants, bars and other parts of the island. Close to Makena or big beach(best beach) and across from a sweet little one too. We didn't experience any loud construction as I read in some other reviews. It's a lovely view and a peaceful place to stay. I'd love to own one of these if I lived here! read more

We stayed here 2 years ago and loved it. We would have loved it this time if not for the construction! It is unbelievable! That any of these condo owners, who MUST be aware of the this, would knowingly rent out these places to unsuspecting visitors should be illegal! I am not talking about "Pardon Our Dust" or "Wet Paint" signs. This is power sanders and jack hammers from 8:30 - 4:00. Thank god for lunch hour! read more

This is the oldest and worst vacation rental. There was a single, 3/4 used bag of coffee on the counter when we arrived. The building is so old and dusty we woke up feeling like we had colds. Literally everything covered in a layer of grime. Despite some obvious updates (countertop tile, etc), some basics were sorely missing. The screen door was about 30 years old and extremely loud at night so that we couldn't sleep with the doors open at night. We booked the condo because we enjoy cooking at home, but this kitchen was full of old junk that actually made cooking difficult. The knife set was so dull that we could not even slice a pineapple. The spice rack was disgusting (dirty, sticky, some spices empty while others were stale). There was no non-stick large frying pan, so everything had to be cooked in a large pot. The light fixture above the kitchen was full of dead flies. There was a fake banana plant in the living room that was covered in a thick layer of dust. No washer or dryer in unit as advertised, so you must pay to use the community equipment. Would never go back. For the same price you can stay at a great place that won't rip you off. The funny thing about all this was the $125 cleaning fee. Not sure who is cleaning though. read more
