So the scene in I pull up behind an old vw camper that had ran out of fuel and as I was refueling the driver of the camper started up her vw after she had filled the tank and with excessive revving my 11 month old baby stired quite abit so like any father would as I went to pay I politely asked if the driver of the camper would not rev the camper excessively again upon leaving (which she did purposely), however it was the lee hire drivers response of "oh dont be so pathetic" which really shocked me so there was a little back and forth nothing too bad but pretty disrespectful on this gentleman's part. So after paying for my Fuel I ask this driver his name so I can contact lee hire as this person representing the company is probably not what they want to then get the response of "i dont care I'm retiring anyway" then came the "oh fuck off" which usually wouldn't bother me but when my 3 year old son is in my arms its a massive no no, so now I have a source taste in my mouth from a driver that was just point blank rude and disrespectful I also have a toddler that now repeats "fuck off" nice one Lee Hire LTD

The fore court is adorned with signs from decades long past and with two old sheep dogs running free in the yard it would be all too easy to imagine that you were on the set of a film. But no this is a real working garage. Where you can come and get your classic car, four by four or even regular car repaired, MOT'd or diagnosed. It's owned and run by a chap Called Phil Woodhams and a lovely lady who I took to be his wife. As you talk to him it becomes quite quickly apparent that the signs are no gimmick, this guy is old school in his understanding of vehicles and his attitude to service. No bad language, no jargon or sucking through the teeth at enquiries, just a really pleasant and personal approach. He also harbours a great interest and knowledge of classic bikes. This is what brought me his away (apart from my love of all things old and automotive) this morning. My old bike had started making a strange grinding noise from what I thought was the gear box and without hesitation he came over and took a good look at it for me. There was no charge and his diagnostic proved to be spot on. So if you have an old land Rover or just live a little out of town and you have a problem I really would recommend popping down or just giving him a call.

I have used Ellis Motors on a number of occasions and I have never had a problem. Unlike a lot of…read moregarages they are courteous and know what they are doing. I regularly supply my own parts because the car is no longer manufactured and the parts are hard to source at reasonable prices. They have always accepted this and we have good customer relations. The charges are reasonable and they have always made me aware of what needs to be done before proceeding. I don't think they replace parts unnecessarily. I have had several cars of different makes and models serviced and been entirely satisfied with their work. I know they are constantly busy and can only ascribe that to their loyal customer base. I would recommend them.

On the actual day I turned up and gave him my keys, where he then said "I quoted you about £150?" Seeing as I live nowhere near, I needed my car fixing that day and I had to bite my tongue and just accept they £150 charge. Won't be using them again

The garage was very busy and I was told that it was unlikely they could fit my car in that day. This would have meant returning to collect the car the following week by train, as I was about 60 miles from home. However, later on in the day, they rang to let me know that they had been able to look at my car after all and perform what turned out to be a simple repair job. To top it all off, they wouldn't charge me anything!
